Hezekiah’s Illness
2 Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, 3 “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4 Then the word of the Lord came to Isaiah: 5 “Go and tell Hezekiah, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life. 6 And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city.
2 حزقیاہ نے دیوار کی طرف کر وٹ لی۔ اس نے خدا وند سے دعا کی اس نے کہا ، 3 “اے خدا وند مہر بانی کرکے مجھے یاد رکھ کہ میں نے ہمیشہ تیرے سامنے نہایت یقین اور صدق دل کے ساتھ زندگی گزاری ہے۔ میں نے وہ باتیں کی ہیں جنہیں تو بہتر کہتا ہے۔” اس کے بعد حزقیاہ بلند آواز میں رونا شروع کردیا۔
4 یسعیاہ کو خدا وند سے یہ پیغام ملا: 5 حزقیاہ کے پاس جا اور اس سے کہہ دے ، “یہ وہ باتیں ہیں جنہیں خدا وند تمہارے باپ دادا کا خدا کہتا ہے ، میں نے تیری دعا سنی ہے اور تیرے دکھ بھرے آنسو دیکھے ہیں۔ اور اس لئے میں تیری زندگی میں پندرہ سال اور جوڑ ر ہا ہوں۔ 6 شاہِ اسور کے ہاتھوں میں سے میں تجھے اور اس شہر کو بچاؤنگا۔ میں اس شہر کی حفاظت کروں گا۔”
My point of view about above verses
God told Hezekiah through Isaiah – put your house in order as you are going to die – you will not recover from your illness
God told Hezekiak, king of Israel through Isaiah that I have heard your prayer and seen your tears – I will add fifteen years to your life & I will also deliver this city from the hand of king of Assyria
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
