Disaster From the North
9 “In that day,” declares the Lord, “the king and the officials will lose heart, the priests will be horrified, and the prophets will be appalled.”
9 یہ پیغام خداوند کا ہے، “اس وقت یوں ہوگا کہ
بادشاہ اور امراء حوصلہ کھو بیٹھیں گے،
کاہن ڈریں گے،
نبیوں کے دل دہلیں گے۔”
My point of view about above verses
God says if you return to me and put your detestable idols out of my sight and no longer go astray – Then nations will ask blessings on your name
God told people of Judah and Jerusalem – do not sow among thorns and circumcise your hearts to the Lord otherwise my wrath will flare up and no one will be able to quench it
God said proclaim in Judah and Jerusalem and sound the trumpet throughout the land and say gather together in fortified cities for God is bringing disaster from the north – even terrible destruction
God said a lion is here to destroy nations and ruin the lands – so put on sack cloth and lament as God’s anger has not turned away
God says in that day king and officials will lose heart and priests will be horrified and prophets will be shocked
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
