Jeremiah 7, verse 30-34

The Valley of Slaughter
30 “‘The people of Judah have done evil in my eyes, declares the Lord. They have set up their detestable idols in the house that bears my Name and have defiled it. 31 They have built the high places of Topheth in the Valley of Ben Hinnom to burn their sons and daughters in the fire—something I did not command, nor did it enter my mind. 32 So beware, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when people will no longer call it Topheth or the Valley of Ben Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter, for they will bury the dead in Topheth until there is no more room. 33 Then the carcasses of this people will become food for the birds and the wild animals, and there will be no one to frighten them away. 34 I will bring an end to the sounds of joy and gladness and to the voices of bride and bridegroom in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem, for the land will become desolate
یہ کرو کیوں کہ یہودا ہ کے لوگ وہ کام کر تے ہیں جسے میں نے برا تصور کیا۔” یہ خداوند کا پیغام ہے۔“انہوں نے اس گھر میں جو میرے نام سے کہلا تا ہے بتوں کو رکھا۔ اس طرح سے اس نے اسے ’ناپاک‘ کیا۔ 31 اور انہو ں نے توفت کي اونچی جگہوں کو بن ہنوم کی وادی میں بنا ئے، تا کہ اپنے بیٹوں اور بیٹیوں کو آگ میں جلا ئیں جس کا میں نے حکم نہیں دیا اور میرے دل میں اس کاخیال بھی نہ آیا تھا۔ 32 اس لئے خداوند فرماتا ہے، دیکھو وہ دن آرہا ہے کہ یہ نہ توفت کہلا ئے گی نہ بن ہنوم کی وادی بلکہ قتل کی وادی کہلا ئے گی اور جگہ نہ ہو نے کے سبب سے توفت میں دفن کریں گے۔ 33 تب لوگوں کی لاشیں زمین پر پڑی رہیں گی اور آسمانی پرندوں کی غذا ہو ں گی۔ ان لوگوں کے جسم کو جنگلی جانور کھا ئیں گے۔ وہاں ان پرندوں اور درندوں کو بھگانے کے لئے کو ئی شخص زندہ نہ بچے گا۔ 34 تب میں یہودا ہ کے شہروں میں اور یروشلم کي گلیوں میں خوشی اور شادمانی کی آواز، دلہے اور دلہن کی آواز پو ری طرح موقوف کردوں گا۔کیونکہ یہ ملک ویران ہو جا ئے گا۔”
My point of view about above verses
God told Jeremiah that stand at the gate of Lord’s house and proclaim this message
God says do not think that you are in my tample and do whatever you want rather
do good with widows, fatherless and foreigners, do not shed innocent blood and deal justly and do not worship other gods then i will let you live near my tample
God said you will steal, murder and lie and then enter my house - do you thinks its a place of living for robers - i am watching you
God said i will destroy this temple as i destroyed before and throw you out as i throw out people of Epharim
God said all family members are together to worship other gods like queen of heaven - so do not ask any favour for such people - they are thinking that they are harming me - but not they are actually harming themselves
So I will put my wrath on this place and all living beings because of their wickedness
God says i want my people to obey me than offering sacrifices and burnt offerings and be on the way which i tell them to walk
They will not listen and answer to you Jeremiah as its nation who do not want to correct themselves so Jermiah mourn for them
God said that they put idol in my house and burn their sons and daughter in a vealley - so now that valley will be full of dead bodies and joy of happiness will turn into grief
May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
