 Jeremiah 12, verse 7-9

Source: Bible New International Version

Jeremiah’s Complaint

God’s Answer

7 “I will forsake my house,     abandon my inheritance; I will give the one I love     into the hands of her enemies. 8 My inheritance has become to me     like a lion in the forest. She roars at me;     therefore I hate her. 9 Has not my inheritance become to me     like a speckled bird of prey     that other birds of prey surround and attack? Go and gather all the wild beasts;     bring them to devour.

My point of view about above verses

Jeremiah is asking to God that why wicked are prospering and at peace

He says drag them these wicked people like sheep going for slaughter - land is desolate because of their wickedness

God told Jeremiah if you are tired in your saved country - how you will manage in another place - Your own people are against you - so do not trust on their sweet talks

God said i forsake my people / my inheritance and handed them over to their enemies (beasts) so they can be devoured by them

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
