Listen !!!! God speaks

 Jeremiah 13, verse 8-11

8 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 9 “This is what the Lord says: ‘In the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem. 10 These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt—completely useless! 11 For as a belt is bound around the waist, so I bound all the people of Israel and all the people of Judah to me,’ declares the Lord, ‘to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they have not listened.’

8 تب خداوند کا کلام مجھ پر ناز ل ہوا۔ 9 کہ خداوند یوں فرماتا ہے: “اسی طرح میں یہودا ہ کے گھمنڈ اور یروشلم کے بڑے غرور کو ختم کروں گا۔ 10 “میں یہودا ہ کے شریر لوگوں کو فنا کروں گا، انہوں نے میرے کلام کو سننے سے انکار کیا ہے کیوں کہ وہ ضدی ہیں، اور وہ صرف وہ کر تے ہیں جو وہ کرنا چا ہتے ہیں۔ وہ جھو ٹے خدا ؤں سے دعا مانگتے ہیں اور ان کی عبادت کر تے ہیں۔ وہ اس کمر بند کی مانند ہو گئے ہیں۔ جو کسی کام کا نہیں ہے۔ 11 خداوند فرماتا ہے، “جیسا کہ کمر بند کمر سے باندھا ہوا رہتا ہے ویسا ہی میں اسرائیل اور یہودا ہ کے لوگوں کو کہوں گا کہ مجھ سے بندھے ہو ئے رہیں تا کہ وہ میرے لوگ ہوں اور ان کے سبب سے میرا نام ہو اور میرے جلال کیلئے میری ستائش ہو لیکن انہوں نے میری نہ سنی۔” 

My point of view about above verses

God told Jeremiah go and buy a linen belt and put it around your waist and Jeremiah did that

God told Jeremiah – take the belt which is around your waist and hide it in a gap in rocks at Perath – so I did it as God told me

After many days God told me to get it back where I hide it – but now it is ruined and useless that i can't wear it any more

God told me in the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and Jerusalem – as they are wicked people and follow the stubbornness of their hearts. They will be like that belt which is totally ruined and useless – as belt is bound around the waist so in the same way I bound the people of Judah and Israel to me to be my people for my praise and honor but they did not listen

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
