 Jeremiah 13, verse 20 - 22

Source: Bible New International Version

20 Look up and see     those who are coming from the north. Where is the flock that was entrusted to you,     the sheep of which you boasted? 21 What will you say when the Lord sets over you     those you cultivated as your special allies? Will not pain grip you     like that of a woman in labor? 22 And if you ask yourself,     “Why has this happened to me?”— it is because of your many sins     that your skirts have been torn off     and your body mistreated.

20 اے یروشلم! غور سے دیکھو!

    دشمنوں کو شمال سے آتے دیکھو۔

وہ گلہ جو تمہیں دیا گیا تھا،

    تمہا را خوشنما گلہ کہاں ہے؟

21 ماضی میں تم نے لوگوں کو تعلیم دی،

    لیکن آنے وا لے وقت وہ تمہا رے قا ئد ہوں گے۔

تب تم کیا کرو گے؟

    تم اس عورت کی مانند ہو گے جو دردِ زہ میں مبتلا ہو تی ہے۔

22 تم اپنے آپ سے پو چھ سکتے ہو،

    “مجھے ایسی تکلیفوں کا سامنا کیوں کرنا پڑیگا۔”

یہ مصیبت تمہا رے انگنت گنا ہوں کے سبب آئیں گی۔

    تمہا رے گنا ہو ں کے سبب تمہیں بے لباس کیا گیا 

My point of view about above verses

God said tell queens and kings that your crowns will fall from your head – and all Judah will carry away to exile

God says whom you trusted will turn their faces against you - This all happens to you because of your lot of sins 

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
