 Jeremiah 14, verse 7-10

Drought, Famine, Sword

7 Although our sins testify against us,     do something, Lord, for the sake of your name. For we have often rebelled;     we have sinned against you. 8 You who are the hope of Israel,     its Savior in times of distress, why are you like a stranger in the land,     like a traveler who stays only a night? 9 Why are you like a man taken by surprise,     like a warrior powerless to save? You are among us, Lord,     and we bear your name;     do not forsake us!

10 This is what the Lord says about this people:

“They greatly love to wander;     they do not restrain their feet. So the Lord does not accept them;     he will now remember their wickedness     and punish them for their sins.”

7 “ہم جانتے ہیں کہ یہ سب کچھ ہمارے قصور کے سبب ہے۔

    ہم اب اپنے گنا ہوں کے سبب مصیبت اٹھا رہے ہیں۔

    اے خداوند! اپنی شہرت حفاظت کی خاطر ہماری مدد کر۔

ہم اقرار کر تے ہیں کہ ہم لوگوں نے تجھ کو کئی بار چھوڑا ہے۔

    ہم لوگوں نے تیرے خلاف خطا کی ہے۔

8 اے خدا! تو ہی صرف اسرائیل کی امید ہے۔

    مصیبت کے دنوں میں تو نے ہی تو اسرائیل کو بچا یا۔

لیکن اب ایسا لگتا ہے کہ تو اس ملک میں اجنبی ہے۔

    ایسا معلو م ہو تا ہے کہ تو ایک مسافر کی مانند ہے جو صرف ادھر سے گذر رہا ہو۔ 

9 تو اس شخص کی مانند لگتا ہے جس پر اچانک حملہ کیا گیا ہو۔    تو اس سپا ہی کی طرح ہے جس کے پاس کسی کو بچانے کی قوت نہ ہو۔لیکن اے خداوند، تو ہمارے ساتھ ہے۔    ہم تیرے نام سے پکارے جا تے ہیں،اس لئے ہمیں بے سہا را نہ چھو ڑو ”

10 “یہودا ہ کے لوگوں کے با رے میں خداوند جو کہتا ہے، وہ یہ ہے: یہودا ہ کے لوگ سچ مچ مجھے چھوڑ نے میں مسرور ہیں۔ وہ لوگ مجھے چھوڑ نا اب بھی بند نہیں کر تے۔ اس لئے اب خداوند انہیں نہیں اپنا ئے گا۔ اب خداوند ان کے بُرے کاموں کو یاد رکھے گا جنہیں وہ کر تے ہیں۔ خداوند انہیں ان کے گنا ہو ں کے لئے سزا دے گا۔

My point of view about above verses

God tell Jeremiah about draught and said that inhabitants and nobels will be disturbed as they will not find water and feel ashamed - Farmers and birds are in distressed because of harsh weather iniatated by God 

God said they love to go here and there so Lord will remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
