 Jeremiah 16, verse 8- 9

Day of Disaster

8 “And do not enter a house where there is feasting and sit down to eat and drink. 9 For this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Before your eyes and in your days I will bring an end to the sounds of joy and gladness and to the voices of bride and bridegroom in this place.

8اور تُو ضِیافت والے گھر میں داخِل نہ ہونا کہ اُن کے ساتھ بَیٹھ کر کھائے پِئے۔ 9کیونکہ ربُّ الافواج اِسرائیل کا خُدا یُوں فرماتا ہے کہ دیکھ مَیں اِس جگہ سے تُمہارے دیکھتے ہُوئے اور تُمہارے ہی دِنوں میں خُوشی اور شادمانی کی آواز دُلہے اور دُلہن کی آواز مَوقُوف کراؤُں گا۔ 

My point of view about above verses

God told me you will not marry in this land because God says that sons and daughters born in this land will die because of deadly disease – they will not be mourned or buried – they will perish by sword and famine and their dead bodies will become food of animals and birds

God told Jeremiah don’t enter in a house of feast as before your days end, sounds of joy will finish in this place

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
