 Jeremiah 17, verse 26 - 27

Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy

26 People will come from the towns of Judah and the villages around Jerusalem, from the territory of Benjamin and the western foothills, from the hill country and the Negev, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, grain offerings and incense, and bringing thank offerings to the house of the Lord. 27 But if you do not obey me to keep the Sabbath day holy by not carrying any load as you come through the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle an unquenchable fire in the gates of Jerusalem that will consume her fortresses.’”

26اور یہُوداؔہ کے شہروں اور یروشلیِم کی نواحی اور بِنیمِین کی سرزمِین اور مَیدان اور کوہِستان اور جنُوب سے سوختنی قُربانِیاں اور ذبِیحے اور ہدئے اور لُبان لے کر آئیں گے اور خُداوند کے گھر میں شُکرگُذاری کے ہدئے لائیں گے۔ 27لیکن اگر تُم میری نہ سُنو گے کہ سبت کے دِن کو مُقدّس جانو اور بوجھ اُٹھا کر سبت کے دِن یروشلیِم کے پھاٹکوں میں داخِل ہونے سے باز نہ رہو تو مَیں اُس کے پھاٹکوں میں آگ سُلگاؤُں گا جو اُس کے قصروں کو بھسم کر دے گی اور ہرگِز نہ بُجھے گی۔ 

My point of view about above verses

God said Judah’s sins are engraved with iron tool on the tablets of their hearts, even their children remember the bad old days of their sins so I will enslave you to your enemies on a land you don’t know as you have kindled my anger

God told who gain riches by unjust means – and when their life half gone their riches will waste them and in end they will prove fools

God said tell people of Judah and Jerusalem keep the Sabbath day holy – don’t bring any load from the gates of Jerusalem in and out on Sabbath day – 

Then heir of King David will enter from the gates of this city and it remains populated forever 

if you don’t obey me then I will kindle an unquenchable fire in the gates of Jerusalem that will consume her fortresses

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
