 Jeremiah 21, verse 1-5

Jeremiah and Pashhur

God Rejects Zedekiah’s Request

 The word came to Jeremiah from the Lord when King   sent to him Pashhur son of Malkijah and the priest Zephaniah son of Maaseiah. They said: ² “Inquire now of the Lord for us because Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is attacking us. Perhaps the Lord will perform wonders for us as in times past so that he will withdraw from us.”

³ But Jeremiah answered them, “Tell Zedekiah, ⁴ ‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I am about to turn against you the weapons of war that are in your hands, which you are using to fight the king of Babylon and the Babylonians who are outside the wall besieging you. And I will gather them inside this city. ⁵ I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and a mighty arm in furious anger and in great wrath.

یرُوشلیم کی شِکست کی پیشین گوئی

1وہ کلام جو خُداوند کی طرف سے یَرمِیاؔہ پر نازِل ہُؤا جب صِدقِیاہ بادشاہ نے فشحُور بِن ملکیاہ اور صفنیاؔہ بِن معسیاؔہ کاہِن کو اُس کے پاس یہ کہنے کو بھیجا۔ 2کہ ہماری خاطِر خُداوند سے دریافت کر کیونکہ شاہِ بابل نبُوکدؔرضر ہمارے ساتھ لڑائی کرتا ہے۔ شاید خُداوند ہم سے اپنے تمام عجِیب کاموں کے مُوافِق اَیسا سلُوک کرے کہ وہ ہمارے پاس سے چلا جائے۔

3تب یَرمِیاؔہ نے اُن سے کہا تُم صِدقِیاہ سے یُوں کہنا۔ 4کہ خُداوند اِسرائیل کا خُدا یُوں فرماتا ہے کہ دیکھ مَیں لڑائی کے ہتھیاروں کو جو تُمہارے ہاتھ میں ہیں جِن سے تُم شاہِ بابل اور کسدیوں کے خِلاف جو فصِیل کے باہر تُمہارا مُحاصرہ کِئے ہُوئے ہیں لڑتے ہو پھیر دُوں گا اور مَیں اُن کو اِس شہر کے بِیچ میں اِکٹّھے کرُوں گا۔ 5اور مَیں آپ اپنے بڑھائے ہُوئے ہاتھ سے اور قُوّتِ بازُو سے تُمہارے خِلاف لڑُوں گا۔ ہاں قہر و غضب سے بلکہ قہرِ شدِید سے۔ 

My point of view about above verses

Priest Pashhur & Zephaniah who were in charge of temple of Lord asked Jeremiah that ask God that King of Israel Zedekiah inquire shoug we go and fight Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon - will God do wonders in our favoures - Jermiah asked God and reply them that God says I will put mt anger and wrath against you through Babylonian king

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
