 Jeremiah 23, verse 9-10

Lying Prophets

⁹ Concerning the prophets:

My heart is broken within me;     all my bones tremble. I am like a drunken man,     like a strong man overcome by wine, because of the Lord     and his holy words. ¹⁰ The land is full of adulterers;     because of the curse the land lies parched     and the pastures in the wilderness are withered. The prophets follow an evil course     and use their power unjustly.

نبیوں کے بارے میں یرمِیاہ کا پَیغام

9نبِیوں کی بابت۔ میرا دِل میرے اندر ٹُوٹ گیا۔

میری سب ہڈِّیاں تھرتھراتی ہیں۔

خُداوند اور اُس کے پاک کلام کے سبب سے

مَیں متوالا سا ہُوں

اور اُس شخص کی مانِند جو مَے سے مغلُوب ہو۔

10یقِیناً زمِین بدکاروں سے پُر ہے۔

لَعنت کے سبب سے زمِین ماتم کرتی ہے۔

مَیدان کی چراگاہیں سُوکھ گئِیں

کیونکہ اُن کی روِش بُری اور اُن کا زور ناحق ہے۔

My point of view about above verses

God said woe to the shepherds who are destroying the sheep of my pasture – so I will bring punishment on you for the evil you have done

God said I will gather remnant of my flock out of all countries and bring them back to their pasture – where they will be fruitful and increase in number – I will place such shepherds on them who will guide them so they will not be missing any more

God said I will raise a king for David – who will do right, and just in land – in his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety

God said because of unjust use of power by prophets - land is cursed 

God said days are coming when people will say as surely as Lord lives, who brought descendants of Israelites not only from Egypt but from North and out of all other countries so that they can stay in their own land

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
