 Jeremiah 23, verse 14

¹⁴ And among the prophets of Jerusalem     I have seen something horrible:     They commit adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of evildoers,     so that not one of them turns from their wickedness. They are all like Sodom to me;     the people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah.”

14مَیں نے یروشلیِم کے نبِیوں میں بھی

ایک ہَولناک بات دیکھی۔

وہ زِنا کار جُھوٹ کے پیرَو

اور بدکاروں کے حامی ہیں

یہاں تک کہ کوئی اپنی شرارت سے باز نہیں آتا۔

وہ سب میرے نزدِیک سدُوؔم کی مانِند اور

اُس کے باشِندے عمُورؔہ کی مانِند ہیں۔

My point of view about above verses

God said because of unjust use of power by prophets - land is cursed 

God said days are coming when people will say as surely as Lord lives, who brought descendants of Israelites not only from Egypt but from North and out of all other countries so that they can stay in their own land

God said both prophet and priest are godless- even in my temple they do wickedness

So God said I will punish them – their path will become slippery and they will fall

God said prophets of Samaria prophesied by Baal and led my people astrayGod said prophets of Jerusalem are horrible, they commit adultery and live lie and strengthen evil doers so that no one can turn from their wickedness- They are like Sodom and people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
