 Jeremiah 23, verse 35-40

False Prophecy

³⁵ This is what each of you keeps saying to your friends and other Israelites: ‘What is the Lord’s answer?’ or ‘What has the Lord spoken?’ ³⁶ But you must not mention ‘a message from the Lord’ again, because each one’s word becomes their own message. So you distort the words of the living God, the Lord Almighty, our God. ³⁷ This is what you keep saying to a prophet: ‘What is the Lord’s answer to you?’ or ‘What has the Lord spoken?’

³⁸ Although you claim, ‘This is a message from the Lord,’ this is what the Lord says: You used the words, ‘This is a message from the Lord,’ even though I told you that you must not claim, ‘This is a message from the Lord.’ ³⁹ Therefore, I will surely forget you and cast you out of my presence along with the city I gave to you and your ancestors. ⁴⁰ I will bring on you everlasting disgrace—everlasting shame that will not be forgotten.”

چاہِئے کہ ہر ایک اپنے پڑوسی اور اپنے بھائی سے یُوں کہے کہ خُداوند نے کیا جواب دِیا؟ اور خُداوند نے کیا فرمایا ہے؟ 36پر خُداوند کی طرف سے بارِ نبُوّت کا ذِکر تُم کبھی نہ کرنا اِس لِئے کہ ہر ایک آدمی کی اپنی ہی باتیں اُس پر بار ہوں گی کیونکہ تُم نے زِندہ خُدا ربُّ الافواج ہمارے خُدا کے کلام کو بِگاڑ ڈالا ہے۔ 37تُو نبی سے یُوں کہنا کہ خُداوند نے تُجھے کیا جواب دِیا؟ اور خُداوند نے کیا فرمایا؟ 38لیکن چُونکہ تُم کہتے ہو خُداوند کی طرف سے بارِ نبُوّت اِس لِئے خُداوند یُوں فرماتا ہے کہ چُونکہ تُم کہتے ہو خُداوند کی طرف سے بارِ نبُوّت اور مَیں نے تُم کو کہلا بھیجا کہ خُداوند کی طرف سے بارِ نبُوّت نہ کہو۔ 39اِس لِئے دیکھو مَیں تُم کو بِالکُل فراموش کر دُوں گا اور تُم کو اور اِس شہر کو جو مَیں نے تُم کو اور تُمہارے باپ دادا کو دِیا اپنی نظر سے دُور کر دُوں گا۔ 40اور مَیں تُم کو ہمیشہ کی ملامت کا نِشانہ بناؤُں گا اور ابدی خجالت تُم پر لاؤُں گا جو کبھی فراموش نہ ہو گی۔ 

My point of view about above verses

God said I didn't sent these prophets- yet they are prophesyingGod said if they took council from me and proclaim my words to my people – then they will turned from their evil ways and deeds

God said am I a God who can see near only and not far away – Am I not who fill the heaven and earth so who can hide in secret places????

God said these prophets prophesy lies in my name, they says they have dreams – they think by this way people will forget my name – as their ancestors forget through Baal worship

God said let who has dream narrate it and who has my word speak it faithfully – First is straw and later is grain, My word is like fire and like a hammer which breaks the rock in pieces

God said I am against those prophets who lies and says Lord declares, they are just astray my people yet I didn't appoint them, people will not be benefitted from them

God said if anyone ask you (Jeremiah) what is the message from Lord – ask them what message – I will forsake you – I will punish them and their household (this is the message from Lord)

God said you keep asking what the Lord message or What’s the Lord answer and people or prophets tell you this is what Lord’s says – but actually its not God message rather their own message – they use the words – They must not claim that this is message from Lord. Therefore I will surely forget you and cast you and  this city out of my presence – I will bring an everlasting disgrace and shame which will not be forgotten

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
