 Jeremiah 29, verse 8-9

A Letter to the Exiles

 ⁸ Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have. ⁹ They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them,” declares the Lord.

8کیونکہ ربُّ الافواج اِسرائیل کا خُدا یُوں فرماتا ہے کہ وہ نبی جو تُمہارے درمِیان ہیں اور تُمہارے غَیب دان تُم کو گُمراہ نہ کریں اور اپنے خواب بِینوں کو جو تُمہارے ہی کہنے سے خواب دیکھتے ہیں نہ مانو۔ 9کیونکہ وہ میرا نام لے کر تُم سے جُھوٹی نبُوّت کرتے ہیں۔ مَیں نے اُن کو نہیں بھیجا خُداوند فرماتا ہے۔ 

My point of view about above verses

Jeremiah wrote a letter to priests and people who exiled to Babylon - and told them God says go there and settle in their cities - pray for that city as if the city will prosper, you will prosper - get married and increase in numbers 

God told Jeremiah, tell Israelites that donot trust prophets and diveners and they tell lies on my name 

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
