 Jeremiah 29, verse 18-19

A Letter to the Exiles

¹⁸ I will pursue them with the sword, famine and plague and will make them abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth, a curse and an object of horror, of scorn and reproach, among all the nations where I drive them. ¹⁹ For they have not listened to my words,” declares the Lord, “words that I sent to them again and again by my servants the prophets. And you exiles have not listened either,” declares the Lord.

18اور مَیں تلوار اور کال اور وبا سے اُن کا پِیچھا کرُوں گا اور مَیں اُن کو زمِین کی سب سلطنتوں کے حوالہ کرُوں گا کہ دھکّے کھاتے پِھریں اور ستائے جائیں اور سب قَوموں کے درمِیان جِن میں مَیں نے اُن کو ہانک دِیا ہے لَعنت اور حَیرت اور سُسکار اور ملامت کا باعِث ہوں۔ 19اِس لِئے کہ اُنہوں نے میری باتیں نہیں سُنِیں خُداوند فرماتا ہے جب مَیں نے اپنے خِدمت گُذار نبِیوں کو اُن کے پاس بھیجا ہاں مَیں نے اُن کو بر وقت بھیجا پر تُم نے نہ سُنا خُداوند فرماتا 

My point of view about above verses

Jeremiah wrote a letter to priests and people who exiled to Babylon - and told them God says go there and settle in their cities - pray for that city as if the city will prosper, you will prosper - get married and increase in numbers 

God told Jeremiah, tell Israelites that donot trust prophets and diveners and they tell lies on my name 

God told through Jeremiah that go to Babylon and stay there if you will not go i will send famine, pestilence and you will be like rotten fig which can't be eaten 

May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
