 Jeremiah 29, verse 22-23

A Letter to the Exiles

²² Because of them, all the exiles from Judah who are in Babylon will use this curse: ‘May the Lord treat you like Zedekiah and Ahab, whom the king of Babylon burned in the fire.’ ²³ For they have done outrageous things in Israel; they have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives, and in my name they have uttered lies—which I did not authorize. I know it and am a witness to it,” declares the Lord 

22اور یہُوداؔہ کے سب اسِیر جو بابل میں ہیں اُن کی لَعنتی مثل بنا کر کہا کریں گے کہ خُداوند تُجھے صِدقیاہ اور اخیؔاب کی مانِند کرے جِن کو شاہِ بابل نے آگ پر کباب کِیا۔ 23کیونکہ اُنہوں نے اِسرائیل میں حماقت کی اور اپنے پڑوسِیوں کی بِیویوں سے زِناکاری کی اور میرا نام لے کر جُھوٹی باتیں کہِیں جِن کا مَیں نے اُن کو حُکم نہیں دِیا تھا۔ خُداوند فرماتا ہے مَیں جانتا ہُوں اور گواہ ہُوں۔ 

My point of view about above verses

Jeremiah wrote a letter to priests and people who exiled to Babylon - and told them God says go there and settle in their cities - pray for that city as if the city will prosper, you will prosper - get married and increase in numbers 

 God told through Jeremiah that go to Babylon and do not trust on prophets and diviners  there, if you will not go i will send famine, pestilence and you will be like rotten fig which can't be eaten 

God told Jeremiah, tell Israelites that do not trust prophets and diviners who prophecy lies on my name, I will hand them over to king of Nebuchadnezzar and he will kill them

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
