 Jeremiah 33, verse 23-26

Promise of Restoration

²³ The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: ²⁴ “Have you not noticed that these people are saying, ‘The Lord has rejected the two kingdoms he chose’? So they despise my people and no longer regard them as a nation. ²⁵ This is what the Lord says: ‘If I have not made my covenant with day and night and established the laws of heaven and earth, ²⁶ then I will reject the descendants of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his sons to rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them.’”

ایک اور اُمّید افزا وَعدہ

23پِھر خُداوند کا کلام یَرمِیاؔہ پر نازِل ہُؤا۔ 24کہ کیا تُو نہیں دیکھتا کہ یہ لوگ کیا کہتے ہیں کہ جِن دو گھرانوں کو خُداوند نے چُنا اُن کو اُس نے رَدّ کر دِیا؟ یُوں وہ میرے لوگوں کو حقِیر جانتے ہیں کہ گویا اُن کے نزدِیک وہ قَوم ہی نہیں رہے۔ 25خُداوند یُوں فرماتا ہے کہ اگر دِن اور رات کے ساتھ میرا عہد نہ ہو اور اگر مَیں نے آسمان اور زمِین کا نِظام مُقرّر نہ کِیا ہو۔ 26تو مَیں یعقُوبؔ کی نسل کو اور اپنے خادِم داؤُد کی نسل کو رَدّ کر دُوں گا تاکہ مَیں ابرہامؔ اور اِضحاقؔ اور یعقُوبؔ کی نسل پر حُکُومت کرنے کے لِئے اُس کے فرزندوں میں سے کِسی کو نہ لُوں بلکہ مَیں تو اُن کو اَسِیری سے واپس لاؤُں گا اور اُن پر رحم کرُوں گا۔

My point of view about above verses

God said to Jeremiah that these people are saying that God has rejected two kingdoms but tell them if heaven and earth and day and night are ceased then my covenant can be rejected with descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – I will restore their fortunes and be compassionate for them

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
