Freedom for Slaves

¹⁷ “Therefore this is what the Lord says: You have not obeyed me; you have not proclaimed freedom to your own people. So I now proclaim ‘freedom’ for you, declares the Lord—‘freedom’ to fall by the sword, plague and famine. I will make you abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth. ¹⁸ Those who have violated my covenant and have not fulfilled the terms of the covenant they made before me, I will treat like the calf they cut in two and then walked between its pieces.

غُلاموں سے فریب

17اِس لِئے خُداوند یُوں فرماتا ہے کہ تُم نے میری نہ سُنی کہ ہر ایک اپنے بھائی اور اپنے ہمسایہ کو آزادی کا مُژدہ سُنائے۔ دیکھو خُداوند فرماتا ہے مَیں تُم کو تلوار اور وبا اور کال کے لِئے آزادی کا مُژدہ دیتا ہُوں اور مَیں اَیسا کرُوں گا کہ تُم رُویِ زمِین کی سب مُملکتوں میں دھکّے کھاتے پِھرو گے۔ 18اور مَیں اُن آدمِیوں کو جِنہوں نے مُجھ سے عہد شِکنی کی اور اُس عہد کی باتیں جو اُنہوں نے میرے حضُور باندھا ہے پُوری نہیں کِیں جب بچھڑے کو دو ٹُکڑے کِیا اور اُن دو ٹُکڑوں کے درمِیان سے ہو کر گُذرے۔ 

My point of view about above verses

God told Jeremiah when I brought you out of Egypt  and the land of slavery – I said every 7^th year you must free your fellow Hebrew serving you as slaves – your ancestors didn't pay attention to this but now you repent and made covenant in house that bears my name – but you have turned around and forced them to become your slave again

God says as you did not fulfil the covenant made with me - so I am now free and handover to you to sword, famine and diseases to be killed 

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
