 Jeremiah 35, verse 6-8

The Rekabites

⁶ But they replied, “We do not drink wine, because our forefather Jehonadab son of Rekab gave us this command: ‘Neither you nor your descendants must ever drink wine. ⁷ Also you must never build houses, sow seed or plant vineyards; you must never have any of these things, but must always live in tents. Then you will live a long time in the land where you are nomads.’ ⁸ We have obeyed everything our forefather Jehonadab son of Rekab commanded us. Neither we nor our wives nor our sons and daughters have ever drunk wine

یرمِیاہ اور ریکابی

6پر اُنہوں نے کہا ہم مَے نہ پِئیں گے کیونکہ ہمارے باپ یُوناداؔب بِن ریکاؔب نے ہم کو یُوں حُکم دِیا کہ تُم ہرگِز مَے نہ پِینا۔ نہ تُم نہ تُمہارے بیٹے۔ 7اور نہ گھر بنانا اور نہ بِیج بونا نہ تاکِستان لگانا نہ اُن کے مالِک ہونا بلکہ عُمر بھر خَیموں میں رہنا تاکہ جِس سرزمِین میں تُم مُسافِر ہو تُمہاری عُمر دراز ہو۔ 8چُنانچہ ہم نے اپنے باپ یُوناداؔب بِن ریکاؔب کی بات مانی۔ اُس کے حُکم کے مُطابِق ہم اور ہماری بِیویاں اور ہمارے بیٹے بیٹِیاں کبھی مَے نہیں پِیتے 

My point of view about above verses

God said Jeremiah go to Rekabite family and invite them come to house of Lord and give them wine to drink

Jeremiaha brought Rekabite family to house of Lord and offer them wine to drink as God commanded him to do 

But Rekabite family told Jeremiaha that we never drink wine, build houses rather live in tents as our forefathers have commanded us 

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
