 Jeremiah 35, verse 9-11

The Rekabites

⁹ or built houses to live in or had vineyards, fields or crops. ¹⁰ We have lived in tents and have fully obeyed everything our forefather Jehonadab commanded us. ¹¹ But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon invaded this land, we said, ‘Come, we must go to Jerusalem to escape the Babylonian and Aramean armies.’ So we have remained in Jerusalem.”

یرمِیاہ اور ریکابی

⁹ اور ہم نہ رہنے کے لئے گھر بناتے اور نہ تاکستان اور کھیت اور بیج رکھتے ہیں ۔

¹⁰ پر ہم خیموں میں بسے ہیں اور ہم نے فرمانبرداری کی اور جو کچھ ہمارے باپ ےُوناؔ داب نے ہم کوحکم دیا ہم نے اُس پر عمل کیا ہے۔

¹¹ لیکن یوں ہوا کہ جب شاہِ بابلؔ نبوکدؔ رضر اِس ملک پر چڑھ آیا تو ہم نے کہا کہ آؤ ہم کسدیوں اور ارامیوں کی فوج کے ڈر سے یروشلیم کو چلے جائیں ۔ یوں ہم یروشلیم میں بستے ہیں۔ 

My point of view about above verses

God said Jeremiah go to Rekabite family and invite them come to house of Lord and give them wine to drink

Jeremiaha brought Rekabite family to house of Lord and offer them wine to drink as God commanded him to do 

But Rekabite family told Jeremiah that we never drink wine, build houses rather live in tents as our forefathers have commanded us 

However we live in Jerusalem now because of invasion of our land by king of Babylon 

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
