 Jeremiah 36, verse 1-3

Jehoiakim Burns Jeremiah’s Scroll

In the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord: ² “Take a scroll and write on it all the words I have spoken to you concerning Israel, Judah and all the other nations from the time I began speaking to you in the reign of Josiah till now. ³ Perhaps when the people of Judah hear about every disaster I plan to inflict on them, they will each turn from their wicked ways; then I will forgive their wickedness and their sin.”

بارُوک ہَیکل میں طُومار پڑھتا ہے

1شاہِ یہُوداؔہ یہویقِیم بِن یوسِیاؔہ کے چَوتھے برس میں یہ کلام خُداوند کی طرف سے یَرمِیاؔہ پر نازِل ہُؤا۔ 2کہ کِتاب کا ایک طُومار لے اور وہ سب کلام جو مَیں نے اِسرائیل اور یہُوداؔہ اور تمام اقوام کے خِلاف تُجھ سے کِیا اُس دِن سے لے کر جب سے مَیں تُجھ سے کلام کرنے لگا یعنی یوسیاؔہ کے ایّام سے آج کے دِن تک اُس میں لِکھ۔ 3شاید یہُوداؔہ کا گھرانا اُس تمام مُصِیبت کا حال جو مَیں اُن پر لانے کا اِرادہ رکھتا ہُوں سُنے تاکہ وہ سب اپنی بُری روِش سے باز آئیں اور مَیں اُن کی بدکرداری اور گُناہ کو مُعاف کرُوں۔

My point of view about above verses

God said to Jeremiah take a scroll and write on it all the words concerning Israel and Judah I have spoken with you time to time- perhaps when they hear about infliction I am bringing on them – turn back from their wicked ways then I will forgive them

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
