 Jeremiah 36, verse 11-15

Jehoiakim Burns Jeremiah’s Scroll

¹¹ When Micaiah son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, heard all the words of the Lord from the scroll, ¹² he went down to the secretary’s room in the royal palace, where all the officials were sitting: Elishama the secretary, Delaiah son of Shemaiah, Elnathan son of Akbor, Gemariah son of Shaphan, Zedekiah son of Hananiah, and all the other officials. ¹³ After Micaiah told them everything he had heard Baruch read to the people from the scroll,

¹⁴ all the officials sent Jehudi son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to say to Baruch, “Bring the scroll from which you have read to the people and come.” So Baruch son of Neriah went to them with the scroll in his hand. ¹⁵ They said to him, “Sit down, please, and read it to us.”

بارُوک ہَیکل میں طُومار پڑھتا ہے

¹¹ جب میکا یاہؔ بن حمبریاہؔ بن سافنؔ نے خداوند کا وہ سب کلام جو اُس کتاب میں تھا سُنا۔

¹² تو وہ اُتر کر بادشاہ کے گھر منشی کی کوٹھری میں گیا اور سب اُمرا یعنے الیسمع ؔ منشی اور دِلایاہؔ بن سمعیاہؔ اور اِلناتنؔ بن عکبورؔ اور حمبریاہؔ بن سافنؔ اور صدقیاہؔ بن حننیاہؔ اور سب اُمرا وہاں بیٹھے تھے۔

¹³ تب میکاؔ یاہ نے وہ سب باتیں جو اُس نے سُنی تھیں جب بارُوکؔ کتاب سے پڑھکر لوگوں کو سُناتا تھا اُن سے بیان کیں ۔

¹⁴ اور سب اُمرا نے یہودی بن نتنیاہؔ بن سلمیاہؔ بن کُوشیؔ کو بارُوکؔ کے پاس یہ کہکر بھیجا کہ وہ طومار جو تو نے لوگوں کو پڑھکر سُنایا ہے اپنے ہاتھ میں لے اور چلا آ۔پس بارُوک ؔ بن نیریاہؔ وہ طومار لیکر اُنکے پاس آیا۔

¹⁵ اور اُنہوں نے اُسے کہا کہ اب بیٹھ جا اور ہم کو یہ پڑھکر سُنا اور بارُوکؔ نے اُنکو پڑھکر سُنایا ۔ 

My point of view about above verses

God said to Jeremiah take a scroll and write on it all the words concerning Israel and Judah I have spoken with you time to time- perhaps when they hear about infliction I am bringing on them – turn back from their wicked ways then I will forgive them

Jeremiah dictated the word of God to Baruch to be wriiten and told him to go to temple and read it to people on the day of fasting so that they may hear and repent and God forgive them

Baruch went to God's house and read to people the word of God on the day of fasting as dictated by Jeremiah 

All officials interested to listen God's word dictated by Jeremiah

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
