 Jeremiah 36, verse 16-18

Jehoiakim Burns Jeremiah’s Scroll

So Baruch read it to them. ¹⁶ When they heard all these words, they looked at each other in fear and said to Baruch, “We must report all these words to the king.” ¹⁷ Then they asked Baruch, “Tell us, how did you come to write all this? Did Jeremiah dictate it?”

¹⁸ “Yes,” Baruch replied, “he dictated all these words to me, and I wrote them in ink on the scroll.”

بارُوک ہَیکل میں طُومار پڑھتا ہے

6اور جب اُنہوں نے وہ سب باتیں سُنِیں تو ڈر کر ایک دُوسرے کا مُنہ تاکنے لگے اور بارُوؔک سے کہا کہ ہم یقِیناً یہ سب باتیں بادشاہ سے بیان کریں گے۔ 17اور اُنہوں نے یہ کہہ کر بارُوؔک سے پُوچھا کہ ہم سے کہہ کہ تُو نے یہ سب باتیں اُس کی زبانی کیونکر لِکھِیں؟

18تب بارُوؔک نے اُن سے کہا وہ یہ سب باتیں مُجھے اپنے مُنہ سے کہتا گیا اور مَیں سِیاہی سے کِتاب میں لِکھتا گیا۔

My point of view about above verses

God said to Jeremiah take a scroll and write on it all the words concerning Israel and Judah I have spoken with you time to time- perhaps when they hear about infliction I am bringing on them – turn back from their wicked ways then I will forgive them

Jeremiah dictated the word of God to Baruch to be wriiten and told him to go to temple and read it to people on the day of fasting so that they may hear and repent and God forgive them

Baruch went to God's house and read to people the word of God on the day of fasting as dictated by Jeremiah 

All officials interested to listen God's word dictated by Jeremiah and thought they have to inform king 

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
