Listen !!!! God speaks

 Jeremiah 36, verse 25-26

Jehoiakim Burns Jeremiah’s Scroll

²⁵ Even though Elnathan, Delaiah and Gemariah urged the king not to burn the scroll, he would not listen to them. ²⁶ Instead, the king commanded Jerahmeel, a son of the king, Seraiah son of Azriel and Shelemiah son of Abdeel to arrest Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet. But the Lord had hidden them.

بارُوک ہَیکل میں طُومار پڑھتا ہے

25لیکن اِلناتن اور دِلایاؔہ اور جمریاؔہ نے بادشاہ سے عرض کی کہ طُومار کو نہ جلائے پر اُس نے اُن کی ایک نہ سُنی۔ 26اور بادشاہ نے شاہزادہ یرحمئیل کو اور شرایاؔہ بِن عزری ایل اور سلمیاؔہ بِن عبدی ایل کو حُکم دِیا کہ بارُوؔک مُنشی اور یَرمِیاؔہ نبی کو گرِفتار کریں لیکن خُداوند نے اُن کو چُھپایا۔ 

My point of view about above verses

God said to Jeremiah take a scroll and write on it all the words concerning Israel and Judah I have spoken with you time to time- perhaps when they hear about infliction I am bringing on them – turn back from their wicked ways then I will forgive them

Jeremiah dictated the word of God to Baruch to be wriiten and told him to go to temple and read it to people on the day of fasting so that they may hear and repent and God forgive them

Baruch went to God's house and read to people the word of God on the day of fasting as dictated by Jeremiah 

All officials interested to listen God's word dictated by Jeremiah and thought they have to inform king - King tell them to read scroll 

When king heard some of scroll - he tore it and throw into the fire burning in front of him and he and his companions did not fear God at all 

The scroll written on instructions of God to Jeremiah had been thrown in fire by king Jehoiakim and ordered to arrest Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the Prophet, but the Lord had hidden them

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
