 Jeremiah 38, verse 23

Zedekiah Questions Jeremiah Again

²³ “All your wives and children will be brought out to the Babylonians. You yourself will not escape from their hands but will be captured by the king of Babylon; and this city will be burned down.”

صدقیاہ یرمِیاہ سے صلاح لیتا ہے

23اور وہ تیری سب بِیوِیوں اور تیرے بیٹوں کو کسدیوں کے پاس نِکال لے جائیں گے اور تُو بھی اُن کے ہاتھ سے رہائی نہ پائے گا بلکہ شاہِ بابل کے ہاتھ میں گرِفتار ہو گا اور تُو اِس شہر کے آگ سے جلائے جانے کا باعِث ہو گا۔ 

My point of view about above verses

Jeremiah told people that God says whoever stays in this city will die by sword, famine, or plague – but whoever goes to Babylonians will live- they will escape  with their lives – this city will certainly will be given into the hands of king of Babylon – who will capture it

Jeremiah told King Zedekiah that if you surrender yourself into the hands of king of Babylon – your life will be spared, you and your family will live – but if not this city will be given into the hands of Babylon and they will burn it out and you will not escape from them - its decreed by God almighty 

So handover yourself to king of Babylon as if you will do this - your life will be spared as told by God 

Jeremiah told King Zedekiah – God declared that handover to you to Babylonians so all go well with you

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
