Listen !!!! God speaks

 Jeremiah 40, verse 1-12

Then all the army officers, including Johanan son of Kareah and Jezaniah son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least to the greatest approached ² Jeremiah the prophet and said to him, “Please hear our petition and pray to the Lord your God for this entire remnant. For as you now see, though we were once many, now only a few are left. ³ Pray that the Lord your God will tell us where we should go and what we should do.”

⁴ “I have heard you,” replied Jeremiah the prophet. “I will certainly pray to the Lord your God as you have requested; I will tell you everything the Lord says and will keep nothing back from you.”

⁵ Then they said to Jeremiah, “May the Lord be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act in accordance with everything the Lord your God sends you to tell us. ⁶ Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the Lord our God, to whom we are sending you, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the Lord our God.”

⁷ Ten days later the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah. ⁸ So he called together Johanan son of Kareah and all the army officers who were with him and all the people from the least to the greatest. ⁹ He said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your petition, says: ¹⁰ ‘If you stay in this land, I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you, for I have relented concerning the disaster I have inflicted on you. ¹¹ Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, whom you now fear. Do not be afraid of him, declares the Lord, for I am with you and will save you and deliver you from his hands. ¹² I will show you compassion so that he will have compassion on you and restore you to your land.’

لوگ یَرمِیاہ سے درخواست کرتے ہیں کہ ہمارے لِئے دُعا کر

1تب سب فَوجی سردار اور یُوحناؔن بِن قرِیح اور یزنیاؔہ بِن ہُوسعیاؔہ اور ادنیٰ و اعلیٰ سب لوگ آئے۔ 2اور یَرمِیاؔہ نبی سے کہا کہ تُو دیکھتا ہے کہ ہم بُہتوں میں سے چند ہی رہ گئے ہیں۔ ہماری درخواست قبُول کر اور اپنے خُداوند خُدا سے ہمارے لِئے ہاں اِس تمام بقِیّہ کے لِئے دُعا کر۔ 3تاکہ خُداوند تیرا خُدا ہم کو وہ راہ جِس میں ہم چلیں اور وہ کام جو ہم کریں بتلا دے۔

4تب یَرمِیاؔہ نبی نے اُن سے کہا مَیں نے سُن لِیا۔ دیکھو اب مَیں خُداوند تُمہارے خُدا سے تُمہارے کہنے کے مُطابِق دُعا کرُوں گا اور جو جواب خُداوند تُم کو دے گا مَیں تُم کو سُناؤُں گا۔ مَیں تُم سے کُچھ نہ چِھپاؤُں گا۔

5اور اُنہوں نے یَرمِیاؔہ سے کہا کہ جو کُچھ خُداوند تیرا خُدا تیری معرفت ہم سے فرمائے اگر ہم اُس پر عمل نہ کریں تو خُداوند ہمارے خِلاف سچّا اور وفادار گواہ ہو۔ 6خواہ بھلا معلُوم ہو خواہ بُرا ہم خُداوند اپنے خُدا کا حُکم جِس کے حضُور ہم تُجھے بھیجتے ہیں مانیں گے تاکہ جب ہم خُداوند اپنے خُدا کی فرمانبرداری کریں تو ہمارا بھلا ہو۔

خُداوند یرمِیاہ کی دُعا کا جواب دیتا ہے

7اب دس دِن کے بعد یُوں ہُؤا کہ خُداوند کا کلام یَرمِیاؔہ پر نازِل ہُؤا۔ 8اور اُس نے یُوحناؔن بِن قرِیح اور سب فَوجی سرداروں کو جو اُس کے ساتھ تھے اور ادنیٰ و اعلیٰ سب کو بُلایا۔ 9اور اُن سے کہا کہ خُداوند اِسرائیل کا خُدا جِس کے پاس تُم نے مُجھے بھیجا کہ مَیں اُس کے حضُور تُمہاری درخواست پیش کرُوں یُوں فرماتا ہے۔ 10اگر تُم اِس مُلک میں ٹھہرے رہو گے تو مَیں تُم کو برباد نہیں بلکہ آباد کرُوں گا اور اُکھاڑُوں گا نہیں بلکہ لگاؤُں گا کیونکہ مَیں اُس بدی سے جو مَیں نے تُم سے کی ہے باز آیا۔ 11شاہِ بابل سے جِس سے تُم ڈرتے ہو نہ ڈرو۔ خُداوند فرماتا ہے اُس سے نہ ڈرو کیونکہ مَیں تُمہارے ساتھ ہُوں کہ تُم کو بچاؤُں اور اُس کے ہاتھ سے چُھڑاؤُں۔ 12اور مَیں تُم پر رحم کرُوں گا تاکہ وہ تُم پر رحم کرے اور تُم کو تُمہارے مُلک میں واپس جانے کی اِجازت دے۔

My point of view about above verses

The remnant of Judah left on land asked Jeremiah to pray for us to God so that everything go well with us.  God told Jeremiah if you stay in this land – I will build you up and not tear you down- so don’t be afraid from king of Babylon as I will show compassion and he will have compassion on you and restore  you to your land

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
