Listen !!!! God speaks

 Jeremiah 40, verse 13-18

¹³ “However, if you say, ‘We will not stay in this land,’ and so disobey the Lord your God, ¹⁴ and if you say, ‘No, we will go and live in Egypt, where we will not see war or hear the trumpet or be hungry for bread,’ ¹⁵ then hear the word of the Lord, you remnant of Judah. This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘If you are determined to go to Egypt and you do go to settle there, ¹⁶ then the sword you fear will overtake you there, and the famine you dread will follow you into Egypt, and there you will die. ¹⁷ Indeed, all who are determined to go to Egypt to settle there will die by the sword, famine and plague; not one of them will survive or escape the disaster I will bring on them.’ ¹⁸ This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘As my anger and wrath have been poured out on those who lived in Jerusalem, so will my wrath be poured out on you when you go to Egypt. You will be a curse and an object of horror, a curse and an object of reproach; you will never see this place again.

13لیکن اگر تُم کہو کہ ہم اِس مُلک میں نہ رہیں گے اور خُداوند اپنے خُدا کی بات نہ مانیں گے۔ 14اور کہو کہ نہیں ہم تو مُلکِ مِصرؔ میں جائیں گے جہاں نہ لڑائی دیکھیں گے نہ تُرہی کی آواز سُنیں گے۔ نہ بُھوک سے روٹی کو ترسیں گے اور ہم تو وہِیں بسیں گے۔ 15تو اَے یہُوداؔہ کے باقی لوگو خُداوند کا کلام سُنو! ربُّ الافواج اِسرائیل کا خُدا یُوں فرماتا ہے کہ اگر تُم واقِعی مِصرؔ میں جا کر بسنے پر آمادہ ہو۔ 16تو یُوں ہو گا کہ وہ تلوار جِس سے تُم ڈرتے ہو مُلکِ مِصرؔ میں تُم کو جا لے گی اور وہ کال جِس سے تُم ہِراسان ہو مِصرؔ تک تُمہارا پِیچھا کرے گا اور تُم وہِیں مَرو گے۔ 17بلکہ یُوں ہو گا کہ وہ سب لوگ جو مِصرؔ کا رُخ کرتے ہیں کہ وہاں جا کر رہیں تلوار اور کال اور وبا سے مَریں گے۔ اُن میں سے کوئی باقی نہ رہے گا اور نہ کوئی اُس بلا سے جو مَیں اُن پر نازِل کرُوں گا بچے گا۔

18کیونکہ ربُّ الافواج اِسرائیل کا خُدا یُوں فرماتا ہے کہ جِس طرح میرا قہر و غضب یروشلیِم کے باشِندوں پر نازِل ہُؤا اُسی طرح میرا قہر تُم پر بھی جب تُم مِصرؔ میں داخِل ہو گے نازِل ہو گا اور تُم لَعنت و حَیرت اور طعن و تشنِیع کا باعِث ہو گے اور اِس مُلک کو تُم پِھر نہ دیکھو گے۔

My point of view about above verses

The remnant of Judah left on land asked Jeremiah to pray for us to God so that everything go well with us.  God told Jeremiah if you stay in this land – I will build you up and not tear you down- so don’t be afraid from king of Babylon as I will show compassion and he will have compassion on you and restore  you to your land

God said tell remnant of Judah if you will not obey me and leave this place and go to Egypt for fear of war, plague and sword – then this all will follow you there - & you will be an object of horror, a curse and an object of reproach, you will never see this place again

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
