 Jeremiah 44, verse 1-6

Disaster Because of Idolatry

 This word came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews living in Lower Egypt—in Migdol, Tahpanhes and Memphis—and in Upper Egypt: ² “This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: You saw the great disaster I brought on Jerusalem and on all the towns of Judah. Today they lie deserted and in ruins ³ because of the evil they have done. They aroused my anger by burning incense to and worshiping other gods that neither they nor you nor your ancestors ever knew. ⁴ Again and again I sent my servants the prophets, who said, ‘Do not do this detestable thing that I hate!’

⁵ But they did not listen or pay attention; they did not turn from their wickedness or stop burning incense to other gods. ⁶ Therefore, my fierce anger was poured out; it raged against the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem and made them the desolate ruins they are today.

یرمِیاہ 44

خُداوند کا پَیغام مِصرؔ میں اِسرائیلیوں کے نام

1وہ کلام جو اُن سب یہُودِیوں کی بابت جو مُلکِ مِصرؔ میں مِجداؔل کے عِلاقہ اور تحفخِیس اور نُوف اور فترُوؔس میں بستے تھے یَرمِیاؔہ پر نازِل ہُؤا۔ 2کہ ربُّ الافواج اِسرائیل کا خُدا یُوں فرماتا ہے کہ تُم نے وہ تمام مُصِیبت جو مَیں یروشلیِم پر اور یہُوداؔہ کے سب شہروں پر لایا ہُوں دیکھی اور دیکھو اب وہ وِیران اور غَیر آباد ہیں۔ 3اُس شرارت کے سبب سے جو اُنہوں نے مُجھے غضب ناک کرنے کوکی کیونکہ وہ غَیر معبُودوں کے آگے بخُور جلانے کو گئے اور اُن کی عِبادت کی جِن کو نہ وہ جانتے تھے نہ تُم نہ تُمہارے باپ دادا۔ 4اور مَیں نے اپنے تمام خِدمت گُذار نبِیوں کو تُمہارے پاس بھیجا۔ اُن کو بر وقت یُوں کہہ کر بھیجا کہ تُم یہ نفرتی کام جِس سے مَیں نفرت رکھتا ہُوں نہ کرو۔ 5پر اُنہوں نے نہ سُنا نہ کان لگایا کہ اپنی بُرائی سے باز آئیں اور غَیر معبُودوں کے آگے بخُور نہ جلائیں۔ 6اِس لِئے میرا قہر و غضب نازِل ہُؤا اور یہُوداؔہ کے شہروں اور یروشلیِم کے بازاروں پر بھڑکا اور وہ خراب اور وِیران ہُوئے جَیسے اب ہیں۔

My point of view about above verses

This word came to Jeremiah concerning Jews living in lower Egypt- You see the disaster I brought on Jerusalem and Judah because of worshipping other gods and burning incense to other gods – therefore my fierce anger was poured out against the towns of Judah and street of Jerusalem and I make the desolate ruins as they are today

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
