 Jeremiah 44, verse 11- 14

Disaster Because of Idolatry

¹¹ “Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I am determined to bring disaster on you and to destroy all Judah. ¹² I will take away the remnant of Judah who were determined to go to Egypt to settle there. They will all perish in Egypt; they will fall by the sword or die from famine. From the least to the greatest, they will die by sword or famine. They will become a curse and an object of horror, a curse and an object of reproach

¹³ I will punish those who live in Egypt with the sword, famine and plague, as I punished Jerusalem. ¹⁴ None of the remnant of Judah who have gone to live in Egypt will escape or survive to return to the land of Judah, to which they long to return and live; none will return except a few fugitives.”

¹¹ اِسلئے ربُّ الافواج اِسراؔ ئیل کا خدا یوں فرماتا ہے کہ دیکھو میں تمہارے خلاف زیا نکاری پر آمادہ ہونگا تاکہ تمام یہوداہؔ کو نیست کروں۔

¹² اور میں یہوداہؔ کے باقی لوگوں کو جنہوں نے ملک مصرؔ کا رخ کیا ہے وہاں جا کر بسیں پکڑوُنگا اور وہ ملک مصرؔ ہی میں نابودُ ہونگے ۔وہ تلوار اور کال سے ہلاک ہونگے ۔ اُنکے ادنیٰ واعلیٰ نابود ہونگے وہ تلوار اور کال سے فنا ہو جائینگے اور لعنت وحیرت اور طعن وتشنیع کا باعث ہونگے ۔

¹³ اور میں اُنکو جو ملک مصرؔ میں بسنے کو جاتے ہیں اُسی طرح سزا دُونگا جس طرح میں نے یروشلیم کو تلوار اور کال اور وبا سے سزا دی ہے ۔

¹⁴ پس یہوداہؔ کے باقی لوگوں میں سے جو ملک مصرؔ میں بسنے کو جاتے ہیں نہ کو ئی بچیگا نہ باقی رہیگا کہ وہ یہوداہؔ کی سرزمین میں واپس آئیں جس میں آکر بسنے کے وہ مشتاق ہیں کیونکہ بھاگ کر بچ نکلنے والوں کے سوا کوئی واپس نہ آئیگا۔ 

My point of view about above verses

God said as still you are not obeying me and determined to go to Egypt so I will destroy you there with plague, famine and sword – none of remnant of Judah who will live in Egypt return except a few fugitives

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
