A Message About Egypt

¹⁰ But that day belongs to the Lord, the Lord Almighty—     a day of vengeance, for vengeance on his foes. The sword will devour till it is satisfied,     till it has quenched its thirst with blood. For the Lord, the Lord Almighty, will offer sacrifice     in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.

¹¹ “Go up to Gilead and get balm,     Virgin Daughter Egypt. But you try many medicines in vain;     there is no healing for you. ¹² The nations will hear of your shame;     your cries will fill the earth. One warrior will stumble over another;     both will fall down together.”

کرکمِیس کے مقام پر مِصرؔ کی شکست

10کیونکہ یہ خُداوند ربُّ الافواج کا دِن

یعنی اِنتقام کا روز ہے

تاکہ وہ اپنے دُشمنوں سے اِنتقام لے۔

پس تلوار کھا جائے گی اور سیر ہو گی

اور اُن کے خُون سے مست ہو گی

کیونکہ خُداوند ربُّ الافواج کے لِئے شِمالی

سرزمِین میں

دریایِ فُراؔت کے کنارے ایک ذبِیحہ ہے۔

11اَے کُنواری دُخترِ مِصرؔ! جِلعاد کو چڑھ جا اور

بلسان لے۔

تُو بے فائِدہ طرح طرح کی دوائیں اِستعمال

کرتی ہے۔

تُو شِفا نہ پائے گی۔

12قَوموں نے تیری رُسوائی کا حال سُنا

اور زمِین تیرے نالہ سے معمُور ہو گئی

کیونکہ بہادُر ایک دُوسرے سے ٹکرا کر باہم

گِر گئے۔

My point of view about above verses

The word of Lord for king of Babylon Nebuchadnezzar concerning Egypt to be  destroyed by him as Isreal took refuge there 

The Egyptians will flee here and there to get escape from the king of Babylon -but  nor swift and strong can escape from their terror 

God says Egypt thinks it will cover the earth as Nile rises - but it will not 

God informed that Egypt will destroy on the day of God's vengence 

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
