A Message About the Philistines

⁵ Gaza will shave her head in mourning;     Ashkelon will be silenced. You remnant on the plain,     how long will you cut yourselves?

⁶ “‘Alas, sword of the Lord,     how long till you rest? Return to your sheath;     cease and be still.’ ⁷ But how can it rest     when the Lord has commanded it, when he has ordered it     to attack Ashkelon and the coast?”

فِلسِتیوں کے بارے میں خُداوند کا پَیغام

5غزّہ پر چندلاپن آیا ہے۔

اسقلوؔن اپنی وادی کے بقِیّہ سمیت نیست

کِیا گیا۔

تُو کب تک اپنے آپ کو کاٹتا جائے گا؟

6اَے خُداوند کی تلوار تُو کب تک نہ ٹھہرے گی؟

تُو چل اپنے غِلاف میں آرام لے اور ساکِن ہو۔

7وہ کَیسے ٹھہر سکتی ہے

جب کہ خُداوند نے اسقلوؔن

اور سمُندر کے ساحِل کے خِلاف اُسے حُکم دِیا ہے؟

اُس نے اُسے وہاں مُقرّر کِیا ہے

My point of view about above verses

Word of God concerning Philistines before King of Egypt attacked Gaza 

God said the inhabitants of Gaza will wail because of Pharaoh's attack - 

God said I will destroy Philistines and Gaza will mourn as God has commanded 

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
