 Jeremiah 50, verse 43-44

A Message About Babylon

⁴³ The king of Babylon has heard reports about them,     and his hands hang limp. Anguish has gripped him,     pain like that of a woman in labor. ⁴⁴ Like a lion coming up from Jordan’s thickets     to a rich pastureland, I will chase Babylon from its land in an instant.     Who is the chosen one I will appoint for this? Who is like me and who can challenge me?     And what shepherd can stand against me?”

بابل پر خُداوند کا غضب

43شاہِ بابل نے اُن کی شُہرت سُنی ہے۔

اُس کے ہاتھ ڈِھیلے ہو گئے۔

وہ زچّہ کی مانِند مُصِیبت اور درد میں گرِفتار ہے۔

44دیکھ وہ شیرِ بَبر کی طرح یردؔن کے جنگل سے نِکل کر مُحکم بستی پر چڑھ آئے گا پر مَیں اچانک اُس کو وہاں سے بھگا دُوں گا اور اپنے برگُزِیدہ کو اُس پر مُقرّر کرُوں گا کیونکہ مُجھ سا کَون ہے؟ کَون ہے جو میرے لِئے وقت مُقرّر کرے؟ اور وہ چَرواہا کَون ہے جو میرے مُقابِل کھڑا ہو سکے؟

My point of view about above verses

This is what Lord says about Babylon

Babylon will be desolate among nations-declares the LORD - who set a trap to capture it through the weapons of his wrath - He punished Babylon for destruction of his temple and her arrogance towards the holy-one of Israel - God said you will stumble because of your arrogance - and I will restore Isreal to bring rest into their land - and sword is on Babylonians to destroy them and it will not be inhabited again from generation to generation - Babylon will be like Sodom and Gomorrah - King of Babylon hear and trembles - He will try to attack - but i will let him run - God says who can encounter me ??

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
