 Jeremiah 51, verse 57-58

⁵⁷ I will make her officials and wise men drunk,     her governors, officers and warriors as well; they will sleep forever and not awake,”     declares the King, whose name is the Lord Almighty.

⁵⁸ This is what the Lord Almighty says:

“Babylon’s thick wall will be leveled     and her high gates set on fire; the peoples exhaust themselves for nothing,     the nations’ labor is only fuel for the flames.”

بابل کی مزید بربادی

57اور مَیں اُمرا و حُکما کو اور اُس کے سرداروں اور

حاکِموں کو مست کرُوں گا

اور وہ دائِمی خواب میں پڑے رہیں گے اور

بیدار نہ ہوں گے۔

وہ بادشاہ فرماتا ہے

جِس کا نام ربُّ الافواج ہے۔

58ربُّ الافواج یُوں فرماتا ہے کہ

بابل کی چَوڑی فصِیل بِالکُل گِرا دی جائے گی

اور اُس کے بُلند پھاٹک آگ سے جلا دِئے

جائیں گے۔

یُوں لوگوں کی مِحنت بے فائِدہ ٹھہرے گی

اور قَوموں کا کام آگ کے لِئے ہو گا اور وہ ماندہ

ہوں گے۔

My point of view about above verses

God said following

This is what Lord says about Babylon

Babylon will be desolate among nations-declares the LORD - Babel will be destroyed by an opponent and foreigners to destroy its land and its army and its young and old completely - So run from Babylon as it's the day of the Vengeance of the LORD - God will judge Babylon as it destroyed the whole earth by its riches . God will take revenge because of destruction of his temple by Babylonians-God says i will fill it with troops like locusts and they will destroy it. God who is creator of everything in heaven and under heaven has all might to use his power for judging his creation. God use other nations as tool to destroy Babylon - God says no corner stone or foundation stone be taken from you - you remain desolate as you are destroyer. Gather other countries to attack Babylon - Babel strength has gone as LORD has spoken this. People will run to tell king of Babel that there is destruction in all sides - let our blood which is shed by them is on them now. God will take revenge and make Babylon a place of horror and scorn - I will make its people drunk and they be like goats and sheep taken to slaughter- God says he will punish Bel fow what he has swallowed and make Babylon desolate - God said get out of Babel as I will take revenge -  and its land and people will be dis-graced- God told Israelites remember me in distant land and keep in mind Jerusalem but I will destroy  Babylon  as it defile my holy temple - God will repay full and will destroy Babylon - His officials and wise men will be drunkard and will not awake - people will labor in vain 

 May God give us wisdom to understand Him through His Word as He speaks with us through this word and prophets - and apply it in our lives to have a blissful life on earth
