Leviticus 18 verse 21

21 “‘Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.

My point of view about above verses

Molek was god of Ammonites

And Ammonites as per Hebrew traditions are descendants of Lot -

And Lot was Abraham's relative so related to Israelite in that respect

Ammonites used to sacrifice their children to get the favor of their god Molek

While Our God is holy and does not want us to do any such practices which are against his sacred principles he gave us, to lead our life on earth.

God wants his people to obey all his laws mentioned in above verses to have a blissful life on earth -
