Leviticus 19 verse 17 & 18
17 “‘Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt.
18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
My point of view about above verse
Although God is telling Israelite to not hate your fellow Israelite - This is applicable to us also because
God is one - so his commandments are same for all mankind
2nd as we believe in Jesus and all his believers are new Israelite
If our neighbor do something wrong we should criticize him so we are not part of their misdeeds - However we are not keep any sort of revenge in our heart for them and should love them as we love ourselves - means we have to be concerned for them as we are concern for ourselves about our well being -
God says do not boast on anything as you are a man only and
- I am the Lord
May God help us to understand when God says I am the Lord and whatever we do on earth is by his given authority - & we are not supposed to misuse it in our relationships with fellow human beings
May God inclined us to obey his words to lead our life the way God wants us to live on this earth -
May God bless all who are obeying His commandments
