Leviticus 21 verse 7-9
Rules for Priests
7 “‘They must not marry women defiled by prostitution or divorced from their husbands, because priests are holy to their God. 8 Regard them as holy, because they offer up the food of your God. Consider them holy, because I the Lord am holy—I who make you holy.
9 “‘If a priest’s daughter defiles herself by becoming a prostitute, she disgraces her father; she must be burned in the fire.
My point of view about above verses
God is telling Moses to tell Aaron sons who were priests to follow the rules i have set for priests.
They should not marry with prostitutes and even divorced women as they are offering food to me - its a sacred act and they have to be holy as i the Lord is holy
They are presenting food offering to the Lord so they should not defile themselves for any reason
- They have been consecrated for a religious purpose - so they must follow the rules
Priests are required to raise their children in a worthy manner acceptable to God almighty - If their daughters do something against religious practices they must be burned in fire
They have to be holy as they are intermediary between God and his people
We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do-
If we concentrate on word of God we can understand that all such laws are for the benefit of humans - to observe such rules mean live a life worthy to God and his kingdom
He wants us to observe all his commandments - otherwise get ready for punishment -
May God inclined us to obey his words to lead our lives the way God wants us to live on this earth -
May God bless all those who are obeying His commandments
