Leviticus 22 verse 14-16
14“‘Anyone who eats a sacred offering by mistake must make restitution to the priest for the offering and add a fifth of the value to it. 15 The priests must not desecrate the sacred offerings the Israelites present to the Lord 16 by allowing them to eat the sacred offerings and so bring upon them guilt requiring payment. I am the Lord, who makes them holy.’”
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses to tell Aaron (the high priest) and his sons that if someone eats from sacred offerings they are not supposed to eat - then they must bring 1/5th of the value of that thing and add it into that thing & give to priest to remove the guilt came on them because of eating of sacred offerings - priest has to treat offerings with respect & not allow unauthorized person h to eat it - if they do so -they bring guilt offering upon them
I am the Lord and tell you to come before me with respect - our God is holy and want us to be holy
It seems its not so simple to become a priest - God wants his priests to follow rules and regulation to conduct this duty the way God wants
Priests have been consecrated for a religious purpose - so they must follow the rules
We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do-
May God inclined us to obey his words to lead our lives the way God wants us to live on this earth -
May God bless all those who are obeying His commandments
