Leviticus 22 verse 26- 30
Unacceptable Sacrifices
26 The Lord said to Moses, 27 “When a calf, a lamb or a goat is born, it is to remain with its mother for seven days. From the eighth day on, it will be acceptable as a food offering presented to the Lord. 28 Do not slaughter a cow or a sheep and its young on the same day.
29 “When you sacrifice a thank offering to the Lord, sacrifice it in such a way that it will be accepted on your behalf. 30 It must be eaten that same day; leave none of it till morning. I am the Lord.
(26)اور خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ سے کہا۔
(27)جِس وقت بچھڑا یا بھیڑ یا بکری کا بچّہ پَیدا ہو تو سات دِن تک وہ اپنی ماں کے ساتھ رہے اور آٹھویں دِن سے اور اُس کے بعد سے وہ خُداوند کی آتِشِین قُربانی کے لِئے مقبُول ہو گا۔
(28)اور خواہ گائے ہو یا بھیڑ بکری تُم اُسے اور اُس کے بچّے دونوں کو ایک ہی دِن ذبح نہ کرنا۔
(29)اور جب تُم خُداوند کے شُکرانہ کا ذبِیحہ قُربانی کرو تو اُسے اِس طرح قُربانی کرنا کہ تُم مقبُول ٹھہرو۔
(30)اور وہ اُسی دِن کھا بھی لِیا جائے ۔ تُم اُس میں سے کُچھ بھی دُوسرے دِن کی صُبح تک باقی نہ چھوڑنا ۔ مَیں خُداوند ہُوں۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses don’t slaughter a cow or a sheep and their young ones on the same day. And when they are born they must remain with their mother for seven days. From eighth day onward they are acceptable as food offering to the God
A thank offering to the God must be eaten on same day. Nothing of it will be left for next day
Our God is all knowing and whatever he tells, its for our benefit and we are supposed to obey His commandments without any logic - If we can understand logic well and good but if not we have to obey it as it is
As mercy and goodness of God will follow if we obey Him
We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do-
May God inclined us to obey his words to lead our lives the way God wants us to live on this earth -
