Leviticus 23 verse 1- 3
The Appointed Festivals
The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘These are my appointed festivals, the appointed festivals of the Lord, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies.
The Sabbath
3 “‘There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of Sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the Lord.
1)اور خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ سے کہا کہ۔
(2)بنی اِسرائیل سے کہہ کہ خُداوند کی عِیدیں جِن کا تُم کو مُقدّس مجمعوں کے لِئے اِعلان دینا ہو گا میری وہ عِیدیں یہ ہیں۔
(3)چھ دِن کام کاج کِیا جائے پر ساتواں دِن خاص آرام کا اور مُقدّس مجمع کا سبت ہے ۔ اُس روز کِسی طرح کا کام نہ کرنا ۔ وہ تُمہاری سب سکُونت گاہوں میں خُداوند کا سبت ہے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses that the appointed festivals are sacred assemblies
First festival is Sabbath its falls on seventh day - Six days you have to work – 7th day is a day of rest and sacred assembly so you don’t have to do any work on that day - Its the day of the Lord & you have to observe it wherever you live
God is kind and merciful and want us to have a rest once a week & be in his presence to fill our self with the joy - so lets obey God to make our lives blissful
Our God is all knowing and whatever he tells, its for our benefit and we are supposed to obey His commandments without any logic - If we can understand logic well and good but if not we have to obey it as it is
As mercy and goodness of God will follow if we obey Him
We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do-
May God inclined us to obey his words to lead our lives the way God wants us to live on this earth -
May God bless all those who are obeying His commandments
