Leviticus 23 verse 4-8
The Appointed Festivals
The Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread
4 “‘These are the Lord’s appointed festivals, the sacred assemblies you are to proclaim at their appointed times: 5 The Lord’s Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. 6 On the fifteenth day of that month the Lord’s Festival of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast. 7 On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. 8 For seven days present a food offering to the Lord. And on the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.’”
(4)خُداوند کی عِیدیں جِن کا اِعلان تُم کو مُقدّس مجمعوں کے لِئے وقتِ مُعیّن پر کرنا ہو گا سو یہ ہیں۔
(5)پہلے مہِینے کی چَودھوِیں تارِیخ کو شام کے وقت خُداوند کی فَسح ہُؤا کرے۔
(6)اور اُسی مہِینے کی پندرھوِیں تارِیخ کو خُداوند کے لِئے عِیدِ فطِیر ہو ۔ اُس میں تُم سات دِن تک بے خمِیری روٹی کھانا۔
(7)پہلے دِن تُمہارا مُقدّس مجمع ہو ۔ اُس میں تُم کوئی خادِمانہ کام نہ کرنا۔
(8)اور ساتوں دِن تُم خُداوند کے حضُور آتشِین قُربانی گُذراننا اور ساتویں دِن پِھر مُقدّس مجمع ہو ۔ اُس روز تُم کوئی خادِمانہ کام نہ کرنا۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses that the appointed festivals are sacred assemblies of the Lord
1st Festival is Passover and begins on twilight of 14th day of first month - which is known as Nisan and its same, which God told them to celebrate when he brought them out of Egypt to go to Canaan & asked them to sacrifice a lamb and put its blood on door post of your homes - so he asked to remember that time and want them to celebrate it each year in all the days of their life
& on 15th 2nd d Festival of un leavened bread begins and it is 2nd part of Passover and it lasts for 7 days and they are asked to eat bread without yeast as when they left Egypt in hurry - they did not find time to leavens the bread - so to remember that time - they are asked to celebrate this festival like this
First day & 7th day sacred gatherings to the Lord must be hold and present food -offering on 7th day - Israelite are not allowed to do any regular works on these days
God wants his people to remember what bigger things he has done for them and celebrate these events as gratitude to Him
We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do-
May God inclined us to obey his words to lead our lives the way God wants us to live on this earth -
May God bless all those who are obeying His commandments
