Leviticus 23 verse 15- 21

The Appointed Festivals

The Festival of Weeks

15 “‘From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks. 16 Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the Lord. 17 From wherever you live, bring two loaves made of two-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour, baked with yeast, as a wave offering of first fruits to the Lord. 18 Present with this bread seven male lambs, each a year old and without defect, one young bull and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the Lord, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings—a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 19 Then sacrifice one male goat for a sin offering and two lambs, each a year old, for a fellowship offering. 20 The priest is to wave the two lambs before the Lord as a wave offering, together with the bread of the first fruits. They are a sacred offering to the Lord for the priest. 21 On that same day you are to proclaim a sacred assembly and do no regular work. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.

(15)اور تُم سبت کے دُوسرے دِن سے جِس دِن ہِلانے کی قُربانی کے لِئے پُولا لاؤ گے گِننا شرُوع کرنا جب تک سات سبت پُورے نہ ہو جائیں۔

(16)اور ساتویں سبت کے دُوسرے دِن تک پچاس دِن گِن لینا ۔ تب تُم خُداوند کے لِئے نذر کی نئی قُربانی گُذراننا۔

(17)تُم اپنے گھروں میں سے اَیفہ کے دو دہائی حِصّہ کے وزن کے مَیدہ کے دو گِردے ہِلانے کی قُربانی کے لِئے لے آنا ۔ وہ خمِیر کے ساتھ پکائے جائیں تاکہ خُداوند کے لِئے پہلے پَھل ٹھہریں۔

(18)اور اُن گِردوں کے ساتھ ہی تُم سات یکسالہ بے عَیب برّے اور ایک بچھڑا اور دو مینڈھے لانا تاکہ وہ اپنی اپنی نذر کی قُربانی اور تپاون کے ساتھ خُداوند کے حضُور سوختنی قُربانی کے طَور پر گُذرانے جائیں اور خُداوند کے حضُور راحت انگیز خُوشبُو کی آتِشِین قُربانی ٹھہریں۔

(19)اور تُم خطا کی قُربانی کے لِئے ایک بکرا اور سلامتی کے ذبیحہ کے لِئے دو یکسالہ نر برّے چڑھانا۔

(20)اور کاہِن اِن کو پہلے پَھل کے دونوں گِردوں کے ساتھ لے کر اُن دونوں برّوں سمیت ہِلانے کی قُربانی کے طَور پر خُداوند کے حضُور ہِلائے ۔ وہ خُداوند کے لِئے مُقدّس اور کاہِن کا حِصّہ ٹھہریں۔

(21)اور تُم عَین اُسی دِن اِعلان کر دینا ۔ اُس روز تُمہارا مُقدّس مجمع ہو ۔ تُم اُس دِن کوئی خادِمانہ کام نہ کرنا ۔ تُمہاری سب سکُونت گاہوں میں پُشت در پُشت سدا یِہی آئِین رہے گا۔

My point of view about above verses

This is the 4th feast- The Festival of weeks - after the feast of Passover and unleavened bread - they have to count seven weeks and on 50th day celebrate this feast to offer

1. two loaves of bread backed with yeast along with

2. 7 male lambs of one year old without defect

3. one bull and

4. two rams as a burnt offering with their

5. grain and

6. drink offering- this is a food offering an aroma pleasing to the Lord

7. Then they have to sacrifice one male goat as sin offering

8. and two male lambs each a year old as fellowship offering

The priest has to wave two lambs along with baked bread with yeast as waver offering - & this is sacred offering to the Lord for priest

A sacred assembly has to be hold on the same day & they are not supposed to do any regular work - This is God's command to be observed by all generations to come

The quantity of grain is about 2- kilogram -

God told Moses that the appointed festivals are sacred assemblies of the Lord

God wants his people to remember what bigger things he has done for them and celebrate these events as gratitude to Him - And also offer him thanks giving for his blessings

We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do-

May God inclined us to obey his words to lead our lives the way God wants us to live on this earth -
