Leviticus 25 verse 25-28
25 “‘If one of your fellow Israelites becomes poor and sells some of their property, their nearest relative is to come and redeem what they have sold. 26 If, however, there is no one to redeem it for them but later on they prosper and acquire sufficient means to redeem it themselves, 27 they are to determine the value for the years since they sold it and refund the balance to the one to whom they sold it; they can then go back to their own property. 28 But if they do not acquire the means to repay, what was sold will remain in the possession of the buyer until the Year of Jubilee. It will be returned in the Jubilee, and they can then go back to their property.
(25)اور اگر تُمہارا بھائی مُفلِس ہو جائے اور اپنی مِلکِیّت کا کُچھ حِصّہ بیچ ڈالے تو جو اُس کا سب سے قریبی رِشتہ دار ہے وہ آ کر اُس کو جِسے اُس کے بھائی نے بیچ ڈالا ہے چُھڑا لے۔
(26)اور اگر اُس آدمی کا کوئی نہ ہو جو اُسے چُھڑائے اور وہ خُود مالدار ہو جائے اور اُس کے چُھڑانے کے لِئے اُس کے پاس کافی ہو۔
(27)تو وہ فروخت کے بعد کے برسوں کو گِن کر باقی دام اُس کو جِس کے ہاتھ زمِین بیچی ہے پھیر دے ۔ تب وہ پِھر اپنی مِلکِیّت کا مالِک ہو جائے۔
(28)لیکن اگر اُس میں اِتنا مقدُور نہ ہو کہ اپنی زمِین واپس کرا لے تو جو کُچھ اُس نے بیچ ڈالا ہے وہ سالِ یوبلی تک خریدار کے ہاتھ میں رہے اور سالِ یوبلی میں چُھوٹ جائے ۔ تب یہ آدمی اپنی مِلکِیّت کا پِھر مالِک ہو جائے
My point of view about above verses
God told Israelite that land belongs to him and it should not be sold permanently- it can be leases only or rent out - He tells them that I let you live in this land as strangers and foreigners and you need to pay the price for it
If any of Israelite becomes poor - he can sell his land to his near brethren and again when he becomes well off - can buy it back - the price of the land should be determined according to Jubilee year - means 50th year - however if he is not able to buy it back - it will go to original owner on Jubilee year.
Lord is merciful & want us to be compassionate to our brethren
God is merciful and all wise Lord - He knows how to deal mankind to get best out of them for themselves and for others
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply in our lives
We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do- as it is in our advantage in the long run
