Leviticus 26 verse 1-5
Reward for Obedience
“‘Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the Lord your God.
2 “‘Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord
3 “‘If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, 4 I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. 5 Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land.
1)تُم اپنے لِئے بُت نہ بنانا اور نہ کوئی تراشی ہُوئی مُورت یا لاٹ اپنے لِئے کھڑی کرنا اور نہ اپنے مُلک میں کوئی شبِیہ دار پتّھر رکھنا کہ اُسے سِجدہ کرو اِس لِئے کہ مَیں خُداوند تُمہارا خُدا ہُوں۔
(2)تُم میرے سبتوں کو ماننا اور میرے مَقدِس کی تعظِیم کرنا ۔ مَیں خُداوند ہُوں۔
(3)اگر تُم میری شرِیعت پر چلو اور میرے حُکموں کو مانو اور اُن پر عمل کرو۔
(4)تو مَیں تُمہارے لِئے بر وقت مِینہ برساؤں گا اور زمِین سے اناج پَیدا ہو گا اور مَیدان کے درخت پھلیں گے۔
(5)یہاں تک کہ انگُور جمع کرنے کے وقت تک تُم داؤتے رہو گے اور جوتنے بونے کے وقت تک انگُور جمع کرو گے اور پیٹ بھر اپنی روٹی کھایا کرو گے اور چَین سے اپنے مُلک میں بسے رہو گے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Israelite that he is the only God to worship and they have not made any image or a carved stone or an idol to bow down before it - They have to bow down to only their God & the way he told them is to kept his Sabbaths and respect the way he told them to live on Sabbath day
And he says if you will obey me - you will live in your land peacefully - will get rain timely and will have food in abundance -
Look what blessings God is giving to people if they live life as per his commandments - peace and abundance - what else a person need - People should start obeying God to have a prosperous earthly life
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply in our lives
We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do- as it is in our advantage in the long run
