Leviticus 26 verse 27-35
Punishment for Disobedience
27 “‘If in spite of this you still do not listen to me but continue to be hostile toward me, 28 then in my anger I will be hostile toward you, and I myself will punish you for your sins seven times over. 29 You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters. 30 I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars and pile your dead bodies on the lifeless forms of your idols, and I will abhor you. 31 I will turn your cities into ruins and lay waste your sanctuaries, and I will take no delight in the pleasing aroma of your offerings. 32 I myself will lay waste the land, so that your enemies who live there will be appalled. 33 I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out my sword and pursue you. Your land will be laid waste, and your cities will lie in ruins. 34 Then the land will enjoy its Sabbath years all the time that it lies desolate and you are in the country of your enemies; then the land will rest and enjoy its Sabbaths. 35 All the time that it lies desolate, the land will have the rest it did not have during the Sabbaths you lived in it.
(27)اور اگر تُم اِن سب باتوں پر بھی میری نہ سُنو اور میرے خِلاف ہی چلتے رہو۔
(28)تو مَیں اپنے غضب میں تُمہارے برخِلاف چلُوں گا اور تُمہارے گُناہوں کے باعِث تُم کو سات گُنی سزا بھی دُوں گا۔
(29)اور تُم کو اپنے بیٹوں کا گوشت اور اپنی بیٹیوں کا گوشت کھانا پڑے گا۔
(30)اور مَیں تُمہاری پرستِش کے بُلند مقاموں کو ڈھا دُوں گا اور تُمہاری سُورج کی مُورتوں کو کاٹ ڈالُوں گا اور تُمہاری لاشیں تُمہارے شِکستہ بُتوں پر ڈال دُوں گا اور میری رُوح کو تُم سے نفرت ہو جائے گی۔
(31)اور مَیں تُمہارے شہروں کو وِیران کر ڈالُوں گا اور تُمہارے مَقدِسوں کو اُجاڑ بنا دُوں گا اور تُمہاری خُوشبُویِ شِیرِین کی لپٹ کو مَیں سُونگھنے کا بھی نہیں۔
(32)اور مَیں مُلک کو سُونا کر دُوں گا اور تُمہارے دُشمن جو وہاں رہتے ہیں اِس بات سے حَیران ہوں گے۔
(33)اور مَیں تُم کو غَیر قَوموں میں پراگندہ کر دُوں گا اور تُمہارے پِیچھے پِیچھے تلوار کھینچے رہُوں گا اور تُمہارا مُلک سُونا ہو جائے گا اور تُمہارے شہر وِیرانہ بن جائیں گے۔
(34)اور یہ زمِین جب تک وِیران رہے گی اور تُم دُشمنوں کے مُلک میں ہو گے تب تک وہ اپنے سبت منائے گی ۔ تب ہی اِس زمِین کو آرام بھی مِلے گا اور وہ اپنے سبت بھی منانے پائے گی۔
(35)یہ جب تک وِیران رہے گی تب ہی تک آرام بھی کرے گی جو اِسے کبھی تُمہارے سبتوں میں جب تُم اُس میں رہتے تھے نصِیب نہیں ہُؤا تھا۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Israelite that if they will not obey him and not live as per the law they will be punished - As there are rewards for obedience - there is punishment for dis-obedience also - & it is 7-times more than the sins committed -
God says if you will not change your ways because of the punishments i gave you earlier then your misery will increase 7 times more - You will face famine to the extent that you will be forced to eat the flesh of your own children, Your worship places will be desolated & i will not be happy on smells of your sacrifices / offerings- Your cities will be turn into desert because of wars and you will run to other parts of world and the land which i gave you will enjoy its Sabbaths - Which you did not let it enjoy when you lived there
God will give these punishments if we will not obey Him - so lets obey Him to live a prosperous earthly life
Look How God punishes when people did not follow Him or obey him
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply in our lives
We need to live in this world as God wants us to live - we have to do what he is telling us to do- as it is in our advantage in the long run
