Genesis 2
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
I believe this is the first commandment given by God to man – He does not want man to have knowledge of good and evil as He says if you eat from it means if you know what is good and evil you are leveling ground for your death – so death is result of this knowledge – so he stooped man kind to not enter in that domain of knowledge
