Numbers 5 ; verse 11- 15
The Test for an Unfaithful Wife
11 Then the Lord said to Moses, 12 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man’s wife goes astray and is unfaithful to him 13 so that another man has sexual relations with her, and this is hidden from her husband and her impurity is undetected (since there is no witness against her and she has not been caught in the act), 14 and if feelings of jealousy come over her husband and he suspects his wife and she is impure—or if he is jealous and suspects her even though she is not impure— 15 then he is to take his wife to the priest. He must also take an offering of a tenth of an ephah of barley flour on her behalf. He must not pour olive oil on it or put incense on it, because it is a grain offering for jealousy, a reminder-offering to draw attention to wrongdoing.
(11)اور خُداوند نے مُوسیٰ سے کہا کہ بنی اِسرائیل سے کہہ کہ۔
(12)اگر کِسی کی بِیوی گُمراہ ہو کر اُس سے بیوفائی کرے۔
(13)اور کوئی دُوسرا آدمی اُس عَورت کے ساتھ مُباشرت کرے اور اُس کے شَوہر کو معلُوم نہ ہو بلکہ یہ اُس سے پوشِیدہ رہے اور وہ ناپاک ہو گئی ہو پر نہ تو کوئی شاہِد ہو اور نہ وہ عَین فعل کے وقت پکڑی گئی ہو۔
(14)اور اُس کے شَوہر کے دِل میں غَیرت آئے اور وہ اپنی بِیوی سے غَیرت کھانے لگے حالانکہ وہ ناپاک ہُوئی ہو یا اُس کے شَوہر کے دِل میں غَیرت آئے اور وہ اپنی بِیوی سے غَیرت کھانے لگے حالانکہ وہ ناپاک نہیں ہُوئی۔
(15)تو وہ شخص اپنی بِیوی کو کاہِن کے پاس حاضِر کرے اور اُس عَورت کے چڑھاوے کے لِئے ایفہ کے دسویں حِصّہ کے برابر جَو کا آٹا لائے پر اُس پر نہ تیل ڈالے نہ لُبان رکھّے کیونکہ یہ نذر کی قُربانی غَیرت کی ہے یعنی یہ یادگاری کی نذر کی قُربانی ہے جِس سے گُناہ یاد دِلایا جاتا ہے۔
My point of view about above verses
God told Moses tell Israelite that if a married women commit adultery and became impure and her husband has developed a feeling of jealousy - Then he has to bring her before priest with grain offering without oil and frankincense which makes the offering sweet -
This offering is not sweet rather bitter and its for remembrance of wrong doing committed by wife or if she did not do anything wrong and husband feelings are not good towards her - in both cases offering has to be made to let them remember
Let God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply it in our lives
