Numbers 23 ; verse 13-26
Balaam’s Second Message
13 Then Balak said to him, “Come with me to another place where you can see them; you will not see them all but only the outskirts of their camp. And from there, curse them for me.” 14 So he took him to the field of Zophim on the top of Pisgah, and there he built seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.
15 Balaam said to Balak, “Stay here beside your offering while I meet with him over there.”
16 The Lord met with Balaam and put a word in his mouth and said, “Go back to Balak and give him this word.”
17 So he went to him and found him standing beside his offering, with the Moabite officials. Balak asked him, “What did the Lord say?”
18 Then he spoke his message:
“Arise, Balak, and listen;
hear me, son of Zippor.
19 God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?
20 I have received a command to bless;
he has blessed, and I cannot change it.
21 “No misfortune is seen in Jacob,
no misery observed in Israel.
The Lord their God is with them;
the shout of the King is among them.
22 God brought them out of Egypt;
they have the strength of a wild ox.
23 There is no divination agains Jacob, no evil omens against Israel. It will now be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘See what God has done!’
24 The people rise like a lioness;
they rouse themselves like a lion
that does not rest till it devours its prey
and drinks the blood of its victims.”
25 Then Balak said to Balaam, “Neither curse them at all nor bless them at all!”
26 Balaam answered, “Did I not tell you I must do whatever the Lord says?”
13 لیکن بلق نے کہا ، “اس لئے میرے ساتھ دوسری جگہ پر آؤ اس جگہ سے تم لوگوں کو دیکھ سکتے ہو۔ لیکن تم ان کے ایک حصّہ کو ہی دیکھ سکتے ہو۔ تم سبھی کو نہیں دیکھ سکتے۔ اور اس جگہ سے تم میری خاطر ان پر لعنت کرو۔” 14 اِس لئے بلق بلعام کو صوفیم کے میدان میں لے گیا یہ پسگہ پہاڑ کی چوٹی پر تھا۔ بلق نے اس جگہ پر سات قربان گاہیں بنائیں۔ تب بلق نے ہر ایک قربان گاہ پر قربانی کے لئے ایک بیل اور ایک مینڈھا پیش کیا۔
15 اِس لئے بلعام نے بلق سے کہا ، “اس قربان گاہ کے پاس کھڑے رہو۔ میں اس جگہ پر خدا سے ملنے جاؤنگا۔”
16 اِس لئے خدا وند بلعام کے پاس آیا اور اس نے بلعام کو بتایا کہ وہ کیا کہے تب خدا وند نے بلعام کو بلق کے پاس واپس جانے اور اُن باتوں کو کہنے کو کہا۔ 17 اس لئے بلعام بلق کے پاس گیا بلق جب قربان گاہ کے پاس کھڑا تھا۔ موآب کے قائد اُس کے ساتھ تھے۔ بلق نے اُسے آتے ہوئے دیکھا اور اُس سے پو چھا ، “خدا وند نے کیا کہا ؟”
بلعام کا دوسرا پیغام
18 تب بلعام نے یہ باتیں کہیں :
“بلق کھڑے رہو اور میری بات سنو۔
صفور کے بیٹے بلق میری بات سنو!
19 خدا انسان نہیں ہے۔
وہ جھوٹ نہیں کہے گا۔
خدا انسان کا بیٹا نہیں
اگر خدا وند کہتا ہے کہ وہ کچھ کرے گا تو ضرور کریگا۔
اگر خدا وند وعدہ کرتا ہے
اے تو اپنے وعدے کو ضرور پورا کرے گا۔
20 خدا وند نے مجھے انہیں دعا دینے کا حکم دیا ہے۔
خدا وند نے اُنہیں خیر و برکت عطا کی ہے۔ اس لئے میں اُسے بدل نہیں سکتا۔
21 یعقوب کے لوگوں میں کوئی قصور وار نہ تھا۔
بنی اسرائیل کوئی گناہ بھی نہیں کئے تھے۔
خدا وند ان کا خدا ہے۔
اور وہ اُن کے ساتھ ہے۔
اور بادشاہ کی للکار ان لوگوں کے بیچ ہے۔
22 خدا اُنہیں مصر سے باہر لایا۔
اِسرائیل کے وہ لوگ جنگلی سانڈ کی طرح طاقتور ہیں۔
23 کوئی جادوئی قوّت نہیں جو یعقوب کے لوگوں کو شکست دے سکے۔
اِسرائیل کے خلاف کوئی جادو استعمال نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔
یعقوب اور بنی اسرائیلیوں کے بارے میں لوگ کہیں گے :
’دیکھو خدا نے کیسے کیسے عظیم کام کئے۔
24 لوگ شیر ببّر کی طرح طاقتور ہونگے۔
وہ شیر کی طرح لڑیں گے۔
وہ اس وقت تک آرام نہیں کریں گے
جب تک کہ وہ اپنے شکار کو مار کر کھا نہ جائیں اور اسکے مردہ جسم سے خون پی نہ جائیں۔”
25 تب بلق نے بلعام سے کہا ، “تم نے اُن لوگوں کے لئے نہ دعا کی اور نہ ہی ان پر لعنت کی۔”
26 بلعام نے جواب دیا میں نے پہلے ہی تم سے کہہ دیا ، “میں صرف وہی کہوں گا جو خدا وند مجھ سے کہنے کےلئے کہتا ہے۔ ”
My point of view about above verses
God asked Balaam (a non -Israelite prophet) who are these men with you - He told they are sent by king of Moab to curse Israelites
God told Balaam, don’t curse Israelites as they are blessed people and told him to do only what God will tell him to do or say
So God put his words in Balaam mouth to bless Israelites, not only one time but two times
Not only the kingdom of worlds are in God hands but all the people and He can use anything as He wants to - as He is the creator - Let ask God to be merciful - Let ask Him to guide us in all spheres of our lives - so that we only say and do what he wants us to do
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
