Numbers 25 ; verse 14-18
14 The name of the Israelite who was killed with the Midianite woman was Zimri son of Salu, the leader of a Simeonite family. 15 And the name of the Midianite woman who was put to death was Kozbi daughter of Zur, a tribal chief of a Midianite family.
16 The Lord said to Moses, 17 “Treat the Midianites as enemies and kill them. 18 They treated you as enemies when they deceived you in the Peor incident involving their sister Kozbi, the daughter of a Midianite leader, the woman who was killed when the plague came as a result of that incident.”
14 جو اسرا ئیلی مدیانی عورت کے ساتھ مارا گیا تھا۔ اس کانام زمری تھا وہ سُلو کا بیٹا تھا وہ شمعون کے خاندانی گروہ کے خاندان کا قا ئد تھا۔ 15 اور ماری گئی مدیانی عورت کانام کزبی تھا۔ وہ صور کی بیٹی تھی وہ اپنے خاندان کا صدر تھا۔ وہ مدیان میں ایک خاندانی گروہ کا قا ئد تھا۔
16 خداوند نے موسیٰ سے کہا۔ 17 “مدیانی لوگ تمہا رے دشمن ہیں تمہیں ان کو مار ڈالنا چا ہئے۔
18 انہوں نے پہلے ہی تم کو اپنا دشمن بنا لیا ہے۔ انہوں نے تم کو دھو کہ دیا اور تم سے اپنے جھو ٹے خدا ؤں کی فغور میں عبادت کروا ئی اور انہوں نے تم میں سے غالباً ایک آدمی کی شادی کز بی کے ساتھ کرادی جو مدیانی قائد کی بیٹی تھی۔ یہی عورت ا سوقت ما ری گئی جب اسرا ئیلی لوگوں میں خطرناک بیما ری آئی۔ یہ بیما ری اس لئے پیدا کی گئی کیو نکہ لوگ فغور میں جھو ٹے خداوند کی عبادت کررہے تھے۔”
My point of view about above verses
God became happy with Phinehas the son of Eleazer, the son of Aaron as he killed one Israeli man and Midianite woman in front of whole assembly. So God made a covenant of peace with him as he was zealous for God’s honor. God told him that he and his descendants will have a lasting priesthood.
God told Moses teat the Midianites as enemies and kill them as they deceive you through a woman Kozibi, the daughter of Midiaite leader
if we turn away from God's way of life - He got angry - So we have to be on the way described in Word of God to stay blessed, We need to obey Him so that He be merciful again - If we repent and zealous for His name, He makes covenant of peace with our generations
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
