Numbers 35;verse 22-29
22 “‘But if without enmity someone suddenly pushes another or throws something at them unintentionally 23 or, without seeing them, drops on them a stone heavy enough to kill them, and they die, then since that other person was not an enemy and no harm was intended, 24 the assembly must judge between the accused and the avenger of blood according to these regulations. 25 The assembly must protect the one accused of murder from the avenger of blood and send the accused back to the city of refuge to which they fled. The accused must stay there until the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the holy oil.
26 “‘But if the accused ever goes outside the limits of the city of refuge to which they fled 27 and the avenger of blood finds them outside the city, the avenger of blood may kill the accused without being guilty of murder. 28 The accused must stay in the city of refuge until the death of the high priest; only after the death of the high priest may they return to their own property.
29 “‘This is to have the force of law for you throughout the generations to come, wherever you live.
22 “لیکن ہو سکتا ہے کہ کو ئی آدمی کسی کو اتفاقاً ما ر دے حالانکہ وہ آدمی اس سے نفرت نہیں کرتا تھا۔ یہ حادثہ اتفاقاً ہوگیا۔ یا ہوسکتا ہے کوئی آدمی کچھ پھینکے اور اتفاقاً اس سے کوئی مر جاتا ہے ، حالانکہ اس کا مارنے کا ارادہ نہیں تھا۔ 23 یا ہوسکتا ہے کوئی آدمی بڑا پتھر پھینکے اور پتھر کسی ایسے آدمی پر گر پڑے جو اسے نہ دیکھ رہا ہو اور اس سے وہ مر جائے حالانکہ اس آدمی نے کسی کو ما رنے کا ارادہ نہیں کیا تھا اور نہ ہی مقتول آدمی کے ساتھ نفرت رکھتا تھا یہ صرف اتفاقاً ہو گیا۔ 24 اگر ایسا ہو تو قبیلہ طے کرے کہ کیا کرنا چاہئے قبیلہ کی عدالت طے کرے گی مقتول آدمی کے خاندان کا فرد اسے مار سکتا ہے۔ 25 اگر عدالت کا یہ فیصلہ ہے کہ وہ زندہ رہے تو اسے اپنے پناہ کے شہر میں جانا چاہئے۔ اسے وہاں اعلیٰ کاہن کے مرنے تک جس کا کہ مقدس تیل سے مسح کیا گیا تھا رہنا چاہئے۔
26-27 “اس آدمی کو اپنے ’ حفاظتی شہر‘کی سرحدوں کے باہر کبھی نہیں جانا چاہئے۔ اگر وہ سرحدوں کے پار جاتا ہے اور مقتول کے خاندان کا فرد اسے پکڑ تا ہے اور اسکو مار ڈالتا ہے تو وہ فرد قتل کا قصوروار نہیں ہوتا۔ 28 اس آدمی کو جس نے اتفاقاً کسی کو مار ڈا لا ہو ’ حفا ظتی شہر‘ میں تب تک رہنا پڑیگا جب تک اعلیٰ کا ہن وفات نہیں پا تا۔ اعلی ٰ کا ہن کے وفات کے بعد وہ آدمی اپنے ملک کو واپس ہو سکتا ہے۔ 29 یہ اصول ہمیشہ تمہا رے لوگوں کے شہروں کے لئے ہو ں گے۔
My point of view about above verses
If a person kills someone unintentionally – then he should flew to cities of refuge and shall stay there till the death of high priest. If he does not stay there and avenger find him he may kill him without being guilty of murder.
God laws are clear and gives life to those who lives by them - whoever go against those laws, there is a punishment for them
God tells each and every details to the people to live a good life
Only listening is not which works with God rather to obey what He commands,
Let God give us wisdom to understand His word and help us to apply it in our lives
