Deuteronomy 22 ; verse 23-24
23 If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, 24 you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death—the young woman because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man’s wife. You must purge the evil from among you.
23 “ہو سکتا ہے کو ئی آدمی کسی اس کنواری لڑکی سے ملے جسکی شادی دوسرے سے پکی ہو چکی ہے وہ اس کے ساتھ جنسی فعل بھی کرے اگر شہر میں ایسا ہو تا ہے تو ، 24 تمہیں ان دونوں کو اس شہرکے باہر پھاٹک ( بیٹھک وا لی جگہ ) پر لانا چا ہئے اور تمہیں ان دونوں کو پتھروں سے مار ڈالنا چا ہئے تمہیں مرد کو اس لئے مار دینا چا ہئے کہ اس نے دوسرے کی بیوی کے ساتھ جنسی فعل کیا اور تمہیں لڑکی کو اس لئے مار دینا چا ہئے کہ وہ شہر میں تھی اور اس نے مدد کے لئے کسی کو پکا را نہیں۔ تمہیں اپنے لوگوں سے یہ بُرا ئی بھی دور کرنی چا ہئے۔
My point of view about above verses
If a man sleeps with a virgin who is engaged to be married with another man – both has to stone to death – the man because he violated another man’s wife and woman because as she was in town and why she did not scream for help
God wants us to do things as per law described by Him so that everything goes well with us - If we do something wrong then punishments should be there to eliminate evils completely from our societies / communities - These are the laws given by God for our ultimate good and we all have to follow
May God give us wisdom to understand his word and apply it in our lives
